Because I can't help but notice that the last 18 skins to be released are all 1350 RP or 1820 RP, with 5 more 1350 skins coming in the next patch. This has been a trend for the entire year, with only 6 skins priced at 950 RP or less with 26 (soon to be 31) 1350 RP skins, 5 1820 RP skins, and even 2 hextech exclusive skins. This puts your skin count for the year at 86.4% being priced 1350 RP or higher. This has obviously been coupled with a noticeable increase in skin quality, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable paying for 10 bucks per skin regularly from now on.

Maybe they just want to put out more higher quality skins instead of shitty recolors.

If anything it's a sign that they have more and not less money.

I thought a bit about it I think it's because people have plenty of older options to be content with a theme or execution in order to continue actually selling plenty of more skins they have to keep making "taller" skins.

You are right though some skins that are going for 1350 might have been 975 a couple years ago. And the 1850 Ahri skin by the others seems like what would have been a 1350 skin some years ago. But it's another Ahri skin ~~so they fleece them~~. And the lines between legendary and 1350 some of the better skins have been blurring. Most legendaries are dated.
