The most awkward story i have regarding league

This happened about 8ish months ago but, I live in Canada (Alberta), so i dont live near any active pros, but people are beginning to recognize the brands / teams more and more. So i went to Bestbuy to get a webcam and a new mouse, i was wearing my C9 shirt at the time and the guy at the cash register asked me something like

"Hey are you like a pro gamer or a big streamer or something?"

I responded with a little laugh and i looked up and before i could say anything, this guy bursts out with "HOLY SHIT im actually talking to a pro, this is insane what game do you play? you're on Cloud9? you have to be a big name"

Again, i kinda laughed and thought "wtf do i do? im in deep" So my dumbass just said "i play league of legends"

This guy looked absolutely s t a r s t r u c k, like i was Justin Bieber and he was a 14 year old girl. After like 5 seconds of straight silence and this cashier staring at me, he said "dude i play CSGO mainly, but ive been trying to get into League, can i give you my name, maybe we can play?"

At this point idk what to do or what to say, this guy is looking at me like im his idol, so i just said "write your name down, i'll add you when i get home" This man looked like he was about to cry, he grabbed some random piece of paper, scribbled his name down and handed it to me. After that, i paid for my stuff and got out of there as fast as i could, threw that piece of paper out right in front of the store, got home and i haven't been back since.

Random guy at bestbuy, im sorry dude.

I remember on Runescape back in 07 or 08 running into two people role playing as the twins from that Ouran anime. They wouldn't stop following me.

I would've said something like "Yeah, I'm pretty good. I'm Ranked Bronze 4!" and seen if he would've still acted the same. If yes, then he knows nothing of League. If no, then he knows enough to not want to play with you.

You are like literally 15s into a conversation and a guy just made a wrong assumption how is that "too deep". Just tell him the truth instead of lying to him.
