Akali changes are ridiculous
The Akali changes will completely gut the champion.
The W changes I'm actually fine with. I think getting hit by CC should have revealed her from the start, and I don't really care about the MS change too much.
But the R changes are too much. They took away the stun. Then they heavily nerfed the CD by 40 seconds. They nerfed the damage (yes it got buffed, soon after it got nerfed, and the buff still left the damage lower than before). And now this change, along with the R2 being as slow as Amumu Q?
R1 is just a gapcloser and nothing else. You use R1 to hit a good E, it serves no other purpose. And for those saying "bUt 4 GApcLoseRs", no, she has her E and R, which happens to be on a 160 second CD. R1 is literally a gapcloser on a 160 second CD. R2 is the only good part of the ability. Making the ability targeted kind of makes her R1 entirely useless. If you R1 onto an enemy, you could probably already easily E them, and there's almost no damage on R1, so R1 is kind of useless. And now R2 is pretty damn slow, so it's very easy to doge. A lot of people complain that you can't gank her because she'll just R away, but ganks aren't always meant to get kills. You will almost ALWAYS have ult up before Akali, and if you can't beat Akali with you ult up while she doesn't, that speaks more to you than the champion. As it sits. I think Akali may become the lowest winrate champion in the game should these changes go through.
As for the people that claim that "but Akali is OP in higher ranks", she's not. She doesn't hit above 50% until GM and Challenger, and she never gets above the 65th highest winrate, which is pretty middle of the pack. The winrate argument for her being broken just isn't true, and I wish more people would just admit they just don't enjoy playing against her than finding a reason to say she's broken.
I understand she's frustrating, but I think the shroud changes should address that. I think the R changes are too much for an ability already on a 160 CD, while Ekko gets a free AOE reset on a 30 second cooldown.
