Scarra's newest video echoes the thoughts of the boards for the past 6 months

Watch video, look at boards.

The complaints are almost exactly the same.

Coincidence? Hmmm....

"there's no finesse anymore"

that sums it up far better than anything else I've heard

It makes everything feel worse when his closing remark is "Go next".

I like how he uses WoW as an example. Lets think about the person that hurt that game. Oh look IT'S THE SAME FUCKING GUY. I just stopped playing a few days ago and will come back when they fix the meta/fire THAT SAME GUY.

I think Oddone basically gave up streaming league a while back. If I'm not mistaken he said something about not actually quitting, just that he's not sure when he'll feel like playing/streaming it again. But just the idea that a goofball like him is sick of things says a lot IMO.

Beacon Academy7/31/2018, 9:18:36 AM12 votes

Just watched it and then saw this post.

He looks so sad during the video :(

Rip Jared... He hasn't streamed for nearly a month I think... (Although he is playing, probably trying to climb so he feels like he is worth watching feelsbadman)

DNFVixen7/31/2018, 1:48:27 PM11 votes

The fix would be to revert the RunesReforged.

Taimanin Irelia7/31/2018, 3:02:59 PM7 votes

Fire GC and Meddler.

That's the fix you're looking for here.

Ðeath XIII7/31/2018, 1:25:16 PM7 votes

I like how he brings up Aftershock Fiddlesticks

That should never exist tbh

Deathfall7/31/2018, 6:36:18 PM6 votes

A lot of players have been saying this for months. It's players like Scarra and other big names that will push for change though. It sucks we have to wait till next year to have things chained because of incompetency from Developers.

Straight out I think we need to like do a Boards Protest Movement on the boards spam posting this video, demanding acknowledgment for what Scarra has said. #ScarraAwareness

I really like Scarra.

I just wish he didn't go.

"Uuuh.. Mmm. Ahh." Before saying everything.

Crit/Crab Changes ruined Summoners Rift, and now their flopping around trying to balance the game around those changes instead of saying "we fucked up" and going back

I believe Scarra is one of the most suited people to articulate these issues.

  1. Really damn good player but isn’t above self-criticizing far more than most would care to admit. Actually has an ongoing log of what he observed and needs to work on after each game.

  2. Much more even-tempered than most of us, even when subjected to immense griefing/trolling. I’ve seen him become quite visibly upset and you can see how it tilts him (usually stops interacting with chat and makes otherwise confusingly illogical, rushed decisions, for example) but it proves that, even under duress, he wants to rise above it all.

  3. He is a great medium to watch how the same problems that are stereotyped as concerns only for us lowly plebs actually persist in high elo and as time goes on, the subtle differences aren’t so subtle anymore, raising red flags that we weren’t complaining for no reason.

I don’t have the time to watch streamers as much as I’d like to so perhaps there will be extremes I’ve missed out on but I have a great amount of healthy respect for Scarra.

"I am just waiting for next season because i think the current one is unfixable" .....Feels bad but it sums up my feels too.

The talk about the arms race between defense(aftershock, boneplating etc), offensive(electrolute, aery&poke) and sustain (resolve regen and fleet footwork).

I watched one of his earlier videos and i truly agree, the much higher options between durability, damage and sustain available from runes creates a arms race which forces things just as much as the earlier seasons did in terms of what to use for the best result.

Even more so at times.

Diversity is great but at what cost? Do we really need to have the things needed for Fiddle support to be generally viable in more matchups if it means tanks are 100% reliant on the same rune to barely function, they created options for others with the runes but made sure the core users are 100% reliant on them instead.

Keep tanks and other melee different from eachother by loading defensive power into their kits and away from the items? Wont this just make the others that much more squishy when faced with the damage carrise who are buffed to deal with the stronger tanks?Yes it does, and this actually happened.

Increase crit damage and burst to deal with increased burst and waveclear from other classes? This also happened with static shiv, and it became utterly absurd the moment tanks got nerfed.

I dont really think any of the old systems were that good, however the new one is a arms race and its really bad, power should mainly come from the champions and not the runes, i mean just look at Electrolute vs old Thunderlords.

Electrolute has a longer cooldown but higher damage and scaling, perfect for burst and the activation conditions are almost the same.

We have fricking assassins running around dealing 40% of a squishy targets health with items, runes and ignite before they even do anything with their kits or auto attacks.

Mages and fighters running around with insane max health ratios or just straight up true damage for others.

item 3147 item 3087 item 3095 all need to be removed, ridiculous ratios and anti tank tools needs to go like Fiora ´s passive&ulti, most of Brand passive, Malzahar is in need of a rework that doesnt enhance his previous cancerous qualities rather than remove them.

Conqueror needs to go and be replaced , new IE......is probably fine if nerfed slightly.

Aftershock needs to go, Sejuani passive also needs to be ditched because she is too reliant on it and its too powerful when she actually gets to use it.

Tanks needs some defensive power shifted from their kits to their items and possibly to compensate they could use some rabadon equivalent for resistances if you truly want to ensure it only kicks in later on.

item 3193 is probably balanced enough to be kept, needing to dive in and be surrounded for a full activation and the loss of damage are good conditions.

Runes overall could stand a shift from damage to utility or more conditions or possibility to outplay.

Like, DFG was removed for being free damage for doing what the users already did, so why does so much stuff now exist that do the same thing?

Utility and random weird effects are fine too, just not pure damage, durability or CC.

Incoming: people who say that the boards "are a secluded part of the community who shouldn't be taken seriously"

To be honest, anyone claiming that we should ignore that the vast majority of the community likes the game less and less makes me really sick... We are yelling at Riot for serious changes, but because of those few guys who like maining broken champs or just plainly be able to oneshot anyone with anything, we are getting ignored and pushed to the side instead of those people who enjoy an unbalanced game who's getting more and more plain...

Tesladin7/31/2018, 4:18:36 PM2 votes

Typically Im not on this bandwagon, but may be something did happen to the game because I'm finding like he said - I'm just not playing, not thinking of reinstalling as much as other games, unlike ~3-5 seasons ago.

does this video have a lot of obnoxious editing / zooming in on the camera? I want to avoid that bull shit before watching it

The Highest Noon7/31/2018, 2:18:05 PM1 votes

I stopped watching at like 5 minutes because up to that point his complaints were "I make mistakes but still" and things that ignore the counter-play items that exist. That, and it boiled down to "I don't like how Riot decided to make their game." That's in regards to it being "fast-paced" which is their voiced design model as of Season 7-8.

dapositiveviking7/31/2018, 8:08:13 PM1 votes

does scarr echo the boards or do the boards echo scarra thinkingface

Yordle Xayah7/31/2018, 8:42:07 PM1 votes

Maybe Ghostcrawler or Meddler will finally address the topics... only when pros/ex-pros make videos it seems to get their attention [sg-poppy]

FixHealsRemoveGW7/31/2018, 9:25:22 PM1 votes

I don't care about echoes. Would be nice to see some attempts of proving ones opinions around here instead of more guesses and "i feel like" arguments.

6 months? League has been shit since PRE-SEASON 8 that started on November 8, 2017.

That's 22997297 seconds

That's 383288 minutes

That's 6388 hours

That's 266 days.

That's roughly 9 months of pure shit.

Riot refuses to flush the toilet. They have cemented a flag on top of the iceberg turd that has been building up since preseason, folks. I'm sure they're proud of it, too.
