Tried playing her as a support, and guess what?! She plays like dog shit again. Without her speed you are an easy target for EVERYONE. I now get back to lane a good 75-100 mana lower, i can't hold the lane for the brief time my ADC is away, getting clean up kills is WAY harder, and i'm now basically forced into a utility item first ( ) to help compensate for my high mana costs. Use to pick up two into , but +50% base mana regen doesn't hold up to +30-50% mana cost of all my abilities.

The least you could have done was give her some bonus aura range as a compensation buff. It doesn't effect her top at all, but it makes tagging your allies SO MUCH EASIER. Now that it's a must, instead of a mild bonus.

You have to understand riot doesn´t want you to play:

mage supports
enchanter supports
regular tanks

So you better main hard-engage nonsense or hook supports, otherwise you will suffer nerf after nerf and mind-boggling ~~champion assassinations~~ reworks.

Honestly I felt this nerf HARD. Especially with the hotfix nerf to her E movement speed. Like come on riot, you already gutted her solo presence, now you're knocking her out of B tier and into C tier with this kind of nerf. The 20% movespeed shoulda been kept to herself, and nerf the aura movespeed to that 10-16 % or whatever.

On the plus side, Sona mains that stick with her and rush TotG will have a shitton extra mana late game. ~~or we'll see Luden's Echo sona be meta~~

They will revert the hotfix nerfs next patch, but the mana thing is here to stay since they said it slightly buffed her support role.

Don’t you know, this is top lane the game. And they didn’t like Sona in top lane, so she needed to be gutted.
