Riot keeps trying to salvage dynamic queue, wasting more and more resources on it. I can't remember a time in the 6 years of playing this game that riot actually reverted a change. Instead they continuously modify what is clearly broken, making it marginally less crappy with each revision. Eventually, riot accepts their new change is crap (i.e feral flare, devourer) and scraps or replaces it completely after wasting as much time/resources as possible.

I can't remember a time in the 6 years of playing this game that riot actually reverted a change.

They reverted a change to Cassiopeia's E range, they partially reverted the change to Vel'koz's ult, they reverted the change to grievous wounds only affecting self-healing.

Sunk cost fallacy isn't relevant, Riot honestly thinks Dynamic Queue is better for the game than Solo Queue and have already been reaping benefits from it despite how easy it is for a few people to repeatedly make threads on the boards in all caps to make themselves look angrier.
