tldr: 50%+ of games feel like a waste of time. balance has been bad since season 5 juggernaut patch, descending even further to mega super bad this year.

i dont post here much anymore since boards are kinda special-ed, but hopefully riot still reads some of these. most of my games are decided by 15 minutes. maybe they drag out another 5-10 minutes, but there's almost nothing you can do to comeback if you are behind. previous seasons felt like maybe 25% of my games were blow outs, now its probably closer to 50%. about a third of my games end <=20 minutes. it feels like a waste of time when you are in these games, even on the winning side. you dont hit mid game before their 4-0 busted meta champ is just an unstoppable 1v9 god and all your outer turrets are gone. there is almost no macro strategy anymore. the game revolves around who is snowballing to insanity off of a couple ganks. my last 16 games did not even last long enough for the elder dragon to spawn.

also, please stop balancing the game with a sledgehammer. this has been your go to technique since the season 5 juggernaut patch. "lets just massively fuck shit up in the middle of the season!" i suspect the reason is to shake up the pro meta enough to see different champions played, but id rather just play a reasonably balanced game 75% of the year. if every champions usefulness was more situational, you wouldnt have to rotate metas. "ok bruisers and assassins, its your turn to be busted now! see you next year adcs and tanks!"

I feel like Riot used to adhere to "pillars" and certain techniques but now everything is a toss up.

things get put into the game if the balance team think its"awesome" enough and not "is this healthy for our game? let consult the pillars of knowledge our forefathers created" or something along those lines.

  1. Mistakes from the past are being repeated (manaless high-sustain lane bully Aatrox or just adding high sustain in general SEE:Heal+Shield modifiers on items)
  2. OLDER mistakes from the past have still not been corrected (Fiddlesticks Janna Soraka Mundo just off the top of my head.sure is fun to play against em :s)
  3. tons of changes are just extremely short sighted "in the now" level kneejerk garbage that does more harm than good.(like the immediate introduction of Conq after the constant month of Hashinshin threads on frontpage which has now removed tanks from viability top more or less. Not to mention the sudden introduction of boneplating to counteract the high amount of early damage.)

Its a nonstop fiesta of adding a disease then attempting to cure it the next patch.

Add a ton of heal and shield power to the game_ then have to introduce G wounds to every class._ Add a ton of true damage and %hp damage to everything now suddenly tanks cant tank and they will need some sort of massive buffs.

Claim Assassins one-shotting people in a 0.5s window is unhealthy so you are going to rework then.Rengar Leblanc Khazix THEN REVERT THOSE REWORKS so assassins are back to one-shotting in 0.5s windows because not being able to greyscreen the Ashe instantly doesn't "feel good" to the assassin players. (did you forget that you were trying to solve a zerosum situation here? No shit one side is gonna feel "worse".)

Everyone complains about the "weakest link" being the game loser so you put more emphasis on teamplay and less on solo snowball then after_ a couple leddit threads a you return back snowballing and suddenly people are getting 1000gold pay outs left and right making rubberbanding all the more common_

Remove Ahri's E amp damage THEN ADD IT BACK RANDOMLY? Removing Kindreds heal passive the ADD IT BACK RANDOMLY? Champions at a steady 50% WR still getting buffs just because?

the list goes on and I honestly dont understand what the hell Riot is even aiming for anymore. They change attitudes and philosophies on a week by week basis based on the current outcry completely reactive and never _proactive _. Everything is just a undirected maelstrom of ideas being added then removed and reworked. THEY LITERALLY DO NOT HAVE A DIRECTION ANYMORE. NOBODY HAS A STRONG VISION OF WHAT THEY WANT LEAGUE OF LEGENDS TO BE. THERE IS NO GRAND VISION WITH A CAPABLE ARCHITECT WORKING TO ACCOMPLISH IT.

Riot just adds and remove and adds and removes completely winging it as they go hoping that maybe...just MAYBE if they put enough content into a single patch, that next yasuo/jhin level champion or enough ranked matchmaking changes (lmfao)the playerbase in the west will recover completely and they will once again take the gaming scene by force as the days of old.

NOW HERES WHAT I REALLY THINK. WHAT I TRULY THINK. Is that it is far too late for League to ever "recapture" the golden years and huge success lightning in a bottle of what it once was and for the most part League is approaching its shelf life (we had a good run folks damn good run compared to most other games). What riot needs to focus on now is not LC$ or some silly advertising campaign trying to disguise LoL as a social hub for people to gather around(le CLASH with ur buddies!").

What Riot needs to focus on now more than ever is KEEPING the current playerbase they have left(its a decent chunk). Focusing all efforts towards making the game as ENJOYABLE and least frustrating as possible so that people continue to log on,play and buy those price-creeped skins w limited edition loading borders.

Thats all I want and its all I've EVER Wanted since Season5. STOP releasing a new champion every 3 months when you cant even properly balance and find a niche for the other half of your current 141 champs (Camille retiring Fiora. Kai'Sa retiring Vayne). START working on bringing older champions up to the same level as newer champions and fixing the gameplay,voice and visuals. SOLVE your itemization pain points and make sure that all manners of builds and champions are properly supported even off-meta builds for off meta champions.

now the truth of this all that Riot will have to come to terms with is that THERE IS NOT A LOT OF PROFIT TO BE MADE IN DOING THIS BUT IT MUST BE DONE IF YOU WANT LONGEVITY. It will be financially painful but if you want a shot at actually SURVIVING and not becoming the next Heroes of Newerth you've gotta bite the bullet..

Yesterday I won a ranked game in 18 minutes. A complete stomp. That game gave me zero satisfaction. They need to fix this game before everyone leaves.

I agree with this assessment. They have no concept of actual balance because here's what's happening, they ATTEMPT to balance champions based on their perceptions of how a champion is suppose to be vs certain other champs, but when you have 140+ champs that's impossible. And they need to stop trying to balance champs that way. If they actually wanted to balance this game properly they need to set a flat unmovable scale by which all champions will be judged, and then balance them based on it. And they don't, they just keep balancing them "in reference to" some other champions, which is why every single patch is more broken than the last.

Agree to this post returned after a month break and still seeing the same snowball champions picked every game.Towers don’t seem to have any presence early game like they used to and getting tower dove consistently pre 4 should not be a thing. Instead of wasting anymore time/money on this game I just unistalled and moving on. Been fun boys/girls.

I'm actually logged in right now because I was going to submit a ticket to relay my frustration, anger and dismay with the quality of the game right now but instead I decided to come to the boards and low and behold, look what's at the

I consider myself very laid back, very open minded and I do genuinely embrace change. I don't like static or stale environments and new opportunities to get involved in, learn new and discover new things are opportunities I genuinely relish.

However, right now? I have never, ever, ever disliked or been so disenfranchised in my complete League of Legends lifetime. I don't enjoy watching Lolesports (I've attended every EU LCS Spring and Summer final since Spring 2015, been to Worlds in London and MSI and I'm going back to Madrid for Summer 2017 EU LCS Summer which will likely be my very last. Hell, I haven't purchased RP in ages because I refuse to sink anymore into League of the opinion they simply do not deserve my adoration as a player.

I cannot stand the constant changes that so violently swings the flow of the game from one side to the next. I thought the ardent censor meta would be the meta to kill me off, and I'm an ADC main, but this meta right now is the final straw. I love that there's variety in the bot lane now, I hate that traditional ADCs (at least traditional crit scaling ADCs) now have no place in the game - at least in uncoordinated normal and soloQ games. I hate that low skill, effort and lack of interest in getting better or improving is rewarded through ridiculously over powered - very easy to play champions (looking at you Garen and Tahm Kench) and I especially hate how Riot, whilst may not be the intention, but seemingly gives off this arrogant 'we feel this is the right decision purely because we said so' attitude despite the clearly negative sentiment that has been thrown their way, exponentially getting more and more volatile, for at least the last two years.

There's a hell of a lot of years left in League - it's not going anywhere anytime soon, not at all. But I really, really do not feel as though I want to be a part of it anymore. I'm really worn down from all the bullshit.

Tbh I didnt get a quality game in since the Galio rework. If I enjoyed league 9/10 pre rework galio i am a solid 4/10 now. (And this is a meta I actually like)

There are a number of issues that have popped up over the last few years. Most of them in my opinion revolve around the sheer amount of damage champions put out now.

Snowballing- They said they want to stop snowballing but keep increasing the benefit of items. Snowballing is caused from an increase in gold leading to a huge surge of power. So increasing AD/AP ratios and buffing items is only furthering the problem. Raise base damage and lower ratios to lower the gap that gold provides.

Counterplay Brawlers- Counter play is more and more rapidly disappearing from the game. Just about every brawler/bruiser has a dash and/or immense amount of healing combo'd with some sort of CC. Most also output a consistent amount of damage. They are pretty much fulfilling the role of ADC and better. With the current output of damage in the game and actual ADC has little to no hope of out playing a brawler alone and against some brawlers even with help.

Counterplay Assassins- This is were the damage really shows. Previously in League assassins needed to wait for the right opportunity to jump in. Mainly because their combo would do 60-80% of their targets health. Now days an assassin needs sometimes as little as 1 item and ignite to 100-0 their target. In some cases such as Talon and Rengar, the entire combo can go off in a fraction of a second leaving virtually no counter play to anybody short of a tank.

Vision- Vision has always been one of the biggest parts of this game yet the grasp on allotted vision seems to be growing smaller and smaller with every patch. Pink Ward's usefulness has dulled down to a stationary sweeper that doesn't expire. Don't get me wrong, it's usefulness is there especially for junglers, but without the ability to detect "invisible" champions this yet again plays into the problem of hindering counter play. It is one of the primary reasons Shako and Talon can run wild right now I think. Lets not even think of the potential problem the new Akali might be with this. The cost of a pink was lowered because of this change but that far from fixes the problem.

You can take all of this as a personal opinion if you want but think about these things perhaps as you play your games. I want to mention however before I leave that I am a jungle main. This isn't the ranting of an ADC. I play many of these problem champions since the jungle has a wide range of playable champions currently. Nocturne, Wukong, and Warwick are some of my main picks. I fall into both the brawler and assassin nonsense. Well for now I will continue to play and hope this game will improve. See you guys on the Rift.

In my opinion Snowballing isn't a problem IF YOU DESERVE IT , but there's something wrong if 3 or 4 kill champ can 1v9

Not to be toxic or anything but you seem like a big sook. You don't get your way and you come to the forums to complain just like you use too 2 years ago about everything down to vlads new e being "worse" than his last lol. Try analyzing your last 16 games and see why they didnt make it to an elder, i also agree the balancing may not be perfect but instead of complaining adapt.
