You know how Anivia got a mini-rework to be healthier?

like becomming a real DPS mage instead of having a one point and click button---->death ?

Except Syndra isn't a dps mage, she's a burst mage (so what even is that comparison?)...and there's a lot more to her kit than just 1-shotting people with an Ult

Syndra haters never want to admit that though

Her R is an outplay button like Veigar R xD

It's just that...her R by itself almost never 1-shots anyone as every Syndra hater claims so adamantly. It just doesn't, the math isn't there. She's a combo burst mage that has almost all of her power tied into her ult, but her ult is enhanced through her other abilities so to claim that she "only" needs to ult is just completely false and full of ignorance :/

Also, due to her needing to combo and the very fact that her Ult takes time to deal it's full effect rather than instant burst inherently makes it very difficult for her to actually "delete" people with absolutely "zero counterplay"

edit: come to think of it, literally all of her abilities but E have delayed effects and even her E itself is mostly reliant on getting a Q down so that in itself could be considered a delayed ability as well

Syndra Main? :D

nah, but I've played a lot of games both as and against her

If people wanted to shift her damage away from her Ult and Q then they'd either have to give her significant damage buffs or increase her range to make applying that damage easier. As it stands right now, Syndra absolutely shouldn't be straight up nerfed with her 47.75% win rate, hell, she might be due for a slight buff tbh

but no one cares about win rates when they are complaining about a champion they think is "OP". No one knows the difference between OP and unfun anymore, it's all one and the same here on the boards :(

if she's a burst mage, then why her Q cd is so low? why does she need to be a high damage threat to a bruiser when Q+W+E+R can kill a squishy?

she also needs low cd 500 damage spell that happens to increase her ult damage by a huge amount on a durable target?

OR, her design was made to also be a DPS mage

also, a burst mage killing you with one button is still unhealthy that's the comparaison there is a reason old anivia is gone and in my games i saw more than enough a syndra killing someone only with ult same in lcs

if she's a burst mage, then why her Q cd is so low?

probably because her entire kit revolves around her Q...

edit: other burstier mages with low ability timers are in the game... Veigar Karma Ziggs

why does she need to be a high damage threat to a bruiser when Q+W+E+R can kill a squishy?

  1. If a burst mage gets their entire combo off on a squishy, they should probably die
  2. She's never a "high-damage" threat that's capable of 1v1'ing any bruiser/jugg (assuming they have 2+ magic resist items) without her ult. She can still chunk them, like any mage can, but she's not exactly going to do 1k+ dmg to a tank unless given time to do multiple rotations.

she also needs low cd 500 damage spell that happens to increase her ult damage by a huge amount on a durable target?

uh...ok. First off, her Q doesn't do 500 damage to anyone with a magic resist item. Also, as I stated, her entire kit revolves around her Q including her Ult. A "huge" amount is king of subjective considering how it only increases it by about 200 damage per sphere against someone without magic resist...that's less than any of her abilities

OR, her design was made to also be a DPS mage

no, her design was to be a generally single-target burst mage (aka, why her main function as a champion is to nuke a single target...or to "burst" someone if you will) while falling into a sub-par combo-mage without her ult. Anyone who relies on combos and spell-rotations such as Syndra is able to provide a dps to a degree, but is almost never capable of actual dps mages such as Ryze or Cassiopeia.

To put simplify it:

Syndra's main focus is to "nuke" a single target through the use of a spell combo and her ult. After that, she provides a spell rotation about every 5-6 seconds that is pretty easily projected by the placement of her Q beforehand. This rotation, while capable of chunking a squishy and providing some damage against a frontline, shouldn't actually be able to land a back-line member as it's pretty easily projected.

She might hit a stun but that's really the only thing a decent back-liner has to fear against a Syndra with no ult
