Clearly, mains always think their main needs a buff, even when everyone else has known how borderline overpowered (or perfectly balanced) X champion is for the last 6 months.

TL;DR sona is not going to get buffed. riot just finished repeatedly nerfing her not that long in the past.

And she is still incredibly oppressive in low ELO and perfectly fine higher up. Riot cant buff her without making her completely broken below plat (master yi syndrome).

i'm playing the game in d2/d1, if you have a win rate to propose me there then show me because with my personal experience+ the fact that i see sona picked only a single time in 300 ranked games make that i have an other feeling

Looks like about a 52% winrate with a 2% pickrate in Diamond. Peaks at 60% for a day and troughs out at 48.5% for a day with that being her only day below 50% in the entirety of patch 7.1 (today's results withstanding as patch 7.2 is incoming).

You've picked sona 4 times in the past 8 days in ranked solo so i call BS on that.

And if you're a support main then if you discount your picks and only look at the enemy picks then 1) you're picking away sona if someone was going to pick them, lowering your percieved play rate while ironically actually increasing it and 2) you're only getting half the play rates by game because you're only counting one supports pick per game.

Except those times which you do, we can see your match history on OP.gg or the like and you do play sona. You've played her 4 times in ranked in the past 8 days so saying that you've only seen her in 1 out of your past 300 games is patently false.

From the link i've provided it only looks at support statistics, so that argument is out the window. Also you can try master+ tier (select the division near the top of the page) but as usual that data is useless due to low statistics. There were days which she wasn't even played (as is the case with many if not most champions in master tier) and days where she sat at 100% winrate. You can't gather statistically relevant data from such a small sample size so the Diamond data is the most relevant sample.

You can stay mad that you think sona is useless but until you show me something to back that up its just you venting. You're the one making the unfounded claim here, and yet i'm the one who provided statistics on the matter. If you wish to make a counter claim then by all means please provide non-anecdotal evidence of your own.

I would say yes, although she has a good win rate, this is marred by her somewhat low pick rate . https://champion.gg/champion/Sona

I would feel a lot more comfortable playing Janna or Taric if I want to win compared to Sona. Sona seems like a big gamble that rarely pays off, in my personal experience. If I had the luxury of deciding how to buff her, I'd increase her MS by 10-15 points... there is no reason for Sona to have the worst MS in the game while also having some of the worst defensive stats.

The above quoted is true... I don't know how https://champion.gg/champion/Sona can say nearly 7% pick rate because I almost never see Sona in matches unless I pick her, it's strange.

the only dude playing sona in challenger is AwildAPSona playing her full AP, it's clear that her kit isn't working as intended
