Stop removing features from your client.

Thus far, since the migration to the new client, we have lost a huge amount of useful features that made the game experience better, these include, but are not limited to:

  • HIGH ELO SPECTATE
  • better chat UI (it was easy to see who was in a club/ group chat, and who was online and not from one simple window, now a moderate amount of steps is required to find all that other information)
  • number of wins/ losses in a given game mode (especially for normal queues such as ARAM, Draft etc.)
  • detailed ranked histories and statistics (gave full things such as winrate, average KDAs, lifetime statistics etc.)
  • seamless transition from finished game to post game screens (new client still has significantly higher performance draw, this issue has been more prevalent in more recent patches esp.)
  • unofficial language options, especially in Chinese and Korean (who have entirely separate clients, would be nice to see full support to draw in International audiences in both EU and NA)

i miss the high elo spectate a ton, i actually learned a lot from watching those when they were on

My biggest beef with the new client is how terribly horribly optimized the damn thing is. My pc can run a modded skyrim with high definition textures but it cant run this shit properly. Especially queues. Why is that dumb lane animation enabled in low spec mode? Why is there a constant animation playing in the play button? Why is every single image of a damn champion their full goddamn splash instead of cutouts? Why is lower resolution using the same images as high revolution just rescaled? Make smaller and lowerquality versions. Dont take up the entirety of my damn computers ram.

It honestly bothers me that I have to play a Game in a specific Gamemode and activly remind myself to check on my Win/Loss Statistic in the Upper left Corner, simply because this is the ONLY Way to find it.

Such a simple, unimportant Statistic of Personal Wins/Losses in X Gamemode shoulndn´t be that hard to get to.

I agree the High Elo Spectate was awesome.

  • wanting to learn how to play a champ
  • see a high elo game going on with said champ in game
  • start watching a live game of random people playing with said champ, where you can watch either side and learn alot.

I miss public chat rooms too. Now everybody is their own isolated tribe because there is no way to find and talk to anybody beyond running into them in the matches, and it's really not like most people have good things to say to each other in the matches themselves, so this is just dumb.

I also miss how the game used to be so optimised, a while back even 5 toasters strung in series could probably play the game on high settings (this is so even with the map update, so it's probably the new client's fault). Now it's the exact opposite, frame rates tank like no tomorrow.

Another thing most people don't remember but I do because of how I play: Mastery 6+ number. I have over 50 mastery 7 champions so it would be so awesome for people to see that instead of my 550 champion level, because 100+ mastery 6 or 7 is way more impressive.

High ELO spectate wasn't migrated to the new client due to security reasons. You can still spectate players on your friend list, though.

Hopefully, Riot brings back this one because i actually liked watching players who're better than me in order to see what i can do better in my role.

You can still see this statistic, when you finish a game in these modes and you're brought to the end game screen. It's in the top left corner, right under "VICTORY" or "DEFEAT" text.

HIGH ELO SPECTATE

This still exists. It's just not on the main page and thus doesn't contain a small amount. Go to the Ranked page of the profile and click challenger and then click spectate anyone that has an EYE symbol next to them.

These have always been visible in the after game lobby for all modes.

I play League on a lower end PC and it feels like it takes forever to see the post game lobby. First it has to load the honour screen, and then it can start loading the post game screen. And that takes way too long. My other friends are well into partying up again and I'm having troubles just getting back into the client. I have low-spec enabled.

In game I can't see my ping anymore. Couldn't find an option to turn it on in game. Was this removed as well? I can see it on PBE, maybe I'm just blind and couldn't find it.

Waiting to be able to make customs OFA, Ascension or other gamemodes besice SR 5v5, TTT 3v3 or HA 5v5 with/without random champions.

+1. High elo spectate was a wonderful and pleasant experience. It really was. When I was a new player, I was actually stuck in Bronze V for two years (haha laugh all you want) and watching the higher elo players REALLY was intriguing to watch. More than the LCS, actually. It also taught me so many things about the game such as wave manipulation, wave control, macro rotations, and more.

I actually watched them so much that I actually constantly implemented what I learned into my actual gameplay. And hey! Look at me now. It turned me into a Diamond Mono Nunu. I have high elo spectate to thank for that.

I miss recent play history. I like knowing if i played with anyone in my lobby last game and the champ they played. I like knowing if i need to dodge because the 0-11 yasuo who afk'd at alter is on my team again.

Can’t you you see your win/loss values in the post-game screen? I know for sure that is the case with aram unless they removed it recently.
