Why is there not thornmail on twisted treeline? I recently lost to a team who, if we could have bought thornmail, we could have EASILY beaten since they were all AD. But since the item isn't on the map, we couldn't build any defense against their penetration.

No Thornmail is Riot trying to limit how ungodly powerful tanks are on that map (it's not doing much)

Yes wit certain amount of farm it would be less usefull but on TT powerspikes works different. I am sure this decision had solid bases.

They redesigned TT to favor a lot larger number of champs, as the old TT apparently favored bruisers a lot more than the other classes of champs.

AD carries sucked for a very long time on the Twisted Treeline, and the ones who succeed the most are guys like Corki who are less autoattack-reliant than other ADCs. Even now, the majority of team compositions don't include one. Thornmail isn't necessary just for countering them. Frozen Heart and Randuin's can work just as well, or even better, against heavy physical damage teams.

was changed. Having both thornmail and warmogs on tanks and some fighters meant a one sided battle. So they removed the 2 from TT. I don't see it being added back.
