why does every support like playing braum and bard and bullshit like that
everyone knows janna does everything better than any other support. why. why the fuck pick anything else.
everyone knows janna does everything better than any other support. why. why the fuck pick anything else.
because I don't like playing janna.
I will play thresh, Leona, blitz, in that order depending 100% on which is available.
and only one of those has peel. how is support supposed to be the selfless angel role again?

I play this game so I CAN HAVE FUN. The ADC having fun is his issue. he should play a champion he enjoys and not expect me to circlejerk him the whole time to have him have fun.
how is support supposed to be the selfless angel role again
You don't have to do that unless you want to.
Threads where op is clueless are always good for a laugh XD
janna doesn't take a hit better than braum
when we need to hurry up and get into that fight nobody has time for Janna's delayed easy to dodge knockup
braum shouldnt be going into fights. thats the problem. he should be in the back ready with his shield but he isnt played that way.

in the back? what's he gonna do back there. Advance on the enemy, put up your defense. if it gets heavy hop back and prepare again. If not knock them up and isolate much easier than janna ever could
Peeling. Being a defensive support. What the fuck did you think the shield and ability to jump to an ally was for?

for when he's done beating your ass in the middle of a 2v4 with it lol. Braum be fuckn savage

Uh....Do you know how Braum works?
He wants to be in the front of the team guarding the ranged squishies who should be in the back...that's...kinda why he carries a giant shield....
when i see him protecting a wave so that you can get a good siege in, thats ok. When i see him trying to engage with q behind his shield it fucking hurts.
he doesnt need to be in front to guard squishies in the back. that tempts braum to do something offensive, like use q when he needs to be in back.
I cant tell you the number of times ive seen a braum waste his shield trying to back off of a failed engage. and then MF uses ult to kill us all.
Braum wants you to engage on him. not the other way around. His ulti is giagantic disengage. His q is also disengage and is very punishing. His jump to ally is also for disengage.
The only part of him that belongs in front is the part where he can keep sivir from clearing a wave before it even crashes against the tower. And thats pretty much the only time i want braum in front of our minions. All of his abilities work better from the back line except for that one in that one circumstance.

Once again, do you even know how to play Braum. In fact, do you even know how this game works?
A tank should not be in the back.
The name speaks for itself. Tanky members of the team are the ones who soak in the damage and protect the squishier damage dealers of the team. If you have not learned that after a year no wonder you are salty.
The number of times ive wiped the floor with a braum who plays the way you suggest is just too damn high for me to listen to you. Nautilus front line presence>>>Braum front line presence.

Then you suck. I've looked at your match history, you're an adc main, and you don't get fed unles you feed yourself in almost every match.
You obviously have no idea how the support role works or how individual supports work, and you seem salty because you keep feeding when in actuality it seems more that its your own fault than the support's.
This is literally common game knowledge not even exclusive to League. If you are tanky, you are in the front. If you play Braum and do not build tanky you are playing him wrong.
Literally this isn't hard to understand. **Big buff guy with GIANT SHIELD, stands in front of team. **
And when did Naut come into this???
Naut, Thresh, Leona, Braum, all TANK supports, ALL SHOULD BE IN FRONT OF THE TEAM. So now you think only some tanks should be in the front?
You seem to understand that Naut is tanky and thats why he is in the front, but then Braum is tank and should not be. Braums kit is designed to be a threat and to gaurd. Thats the whole reason of the shield. He engages, he blocks stuff for teammates, and he defends.
I have a 57% win rate on adc. How am I a feeder? How does saying i beat the enemy braum support to death mean i suck? Is it because i wont listen to you? Ok. Bye.

9/11/9 on Jinx 11/12/11 on Ezreal 2/9/5 on Vayne 2/9/13 on Draven 0/7/1 on Draven 12/11/11 on Draven 0/12/3 on Trundle 6/9/7 on Ekko 7/7/3 on Ashe 0/11/6 on Yasuo 9/12/6 on Fizz 3/13/12 on Jhin 2/7/1 on Azir 2/8/9 on Draven 13/12/17 on Jhin
Your total average winrate for your past 20 games including all games ranked and normals is 50% with 10 wins 10 losses and your kill participation is 43%
I will say you do get fed without dying as much too, but you also feed.
Also if you knew anything, you'd know that targeting the tank support ins't something you want to do, and I don't really care if you killed him or not. I've killed Braum's too, cool for me, doesn't mean he is a sucky support.
You seem to play absolutely no support at all, and I am a support main and have been for almost 2 years now...why are you trying to argue about me with supports when you obviously have not played it and have no game sense whatsoever, seeing as you think the only botlane synergy that exists is kalista because of her ult.
Depends on team and play style
uhhh soraka, nami, braum, ali they are all really good and can be better than janna in most cases janna is not super good in comparison to ali

What do you think of my support roster?
it's trollish as anything i've seen, keep up the good work two thumbs up.

your opinion is not the end all be all. other people like and do better on other champs. this is one of those opinions you should have kept to yourself
ive been playing this game for a year or more. the number of times ive seen a braum make a clutch play is close to zero, but i must have seen at least one by now right? Maybe.
Any time nautilus presses q on the enemy adc, its more valuable than 10 braum q's. I suppose its possible for a braum ulti to be more valuable than a naut ulti, but if you need more than a naut ulti on the adc to win a fight, then its your fault for being behind. Same for janna r. its easier to use and better. some say its the strongest ult in the game.
Braum is a boring support when played correctly. His q is short range. He doesnt have engage. He has peel. Ppl love him in bronze even though they have no idea what peel even looks like.
thank you Charyzard i'm going to go back to the first thing i said "your opinion is not the end all be all" so stop trying to force it on everyone else
Short answer is that if I don't tank no one else will.
If I am first pick.. I'll take
. Further down the list I'll prefer
.. or maybe
if its counter pick.
I played
once and got my face melted by
(who I almost always ban now).
is a tricky one, honestly its really hard to perform on him without good teamwork, he seems to fall flat in ranked but he does a lot of damage for a support he has the potential to carry support. I had a mastery 6
in one ranked game... they fed.. horribly. I get the feeling that he and the ADC weren't on the same page.
in any case supports all have variety of advantages and disadvantages.
Ok. Well your team doesnt need a braum tank. You team needs you to use braum to protect allies. If you want to engage, then pick naut.

is perfectly capable of starting a fight then jumping back to his adc to defend them that's basically how he works. His mark is great at giving your allies clues on who they should target.
I mean no one will pick a front line at all if I don't. People will pick nothing but assassins if you give them a chance and you'll have no way to deal with a grouped push.
You argument is with the player not with the champions
I like to play Vel'koz and Zillean support.
I like seeing my enemies melt before me, and Zilean offers unique utility that no other support brings.
vel coz isnt a support. hes a mage in bot lane that doesnt farm. what are you talking about?
Basically you play him like a more traditional poke support. You max your Q and whittle your enemy down. When they go for CS in a prefictable manner, you can throw out your gull combo to chunk them with true damage. Level 6 and onwards you are always a threat because of the burst mixed with true damage of landing a full combo.
Full build on him you can still get upwards of 600 AP as support. Utility he brings are slows, stuns, and a verystrong true damage wombo combo which makes building against him impractical.
Think like how Brand was a support for awhile. Or annie support, etc. Yes, his primary role is mid. He still works excellently bot lane.
hes not supporting anyone tho. hes just a mage that sits in bot lane not farming.
You're completely missing the point. His job is to force the enemy out of lane and keep both him, and his adc, a constant threat throughout the game. If you cannot understamd how a poke support works, then I'm sorry for you.
no i know what a poke support does. Id still rather have peel. Id rather have my adc alive for 2 additional seconds than have 2 additional rotations of support vel coz spell casting. The adc tends to deal more dmg, and then gets to take multiple towers after an ace.
Ill admit. His waveclear might be pretty handy and not all games are going to be decided by adc dmg. But for the most part. Rather have a janna.
Read who my other go to pick is. Know that I'm not advocating him for every game. You don't always need a peel support either. Your opinion is not fact. Do not shove it down the rhroars of those on the boards man.
You could try to elaborate on why you think janna is the best PEEL support. But you can't argue she is always the best support. She isn't an engage supportx a tank support, or poke support. You can argue her as sustain, but other supports do that better.
Enough said.
let me explain something to you, a support main to an adc main.
Janna is the queen of peel. so if you're looking for the ultimate in ADC protection, that's her shtick and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT.
You thinking that janna does EVERYTHING a support does better, means you think a support's role is to defend the ADC.
people who play supports obviously do not pick the character most well known to be best at peeling and protecting. This means that they don't think supports are all about peeling for and protecting an ADC. Or they disagree with the idea that this should be the role of the support, and are trying to do something else in the game that is not protecting the adc.
for instance a lot of people like roaming with the jungler. maybe they pick thresh because plays with the lantern are more awesome than protecting an ADC?
I wasnt saying janna is fun. I was saying that the support is there to protect the adc. And its true. If you are one of those supports that is loathe to protect your adc, then 1) i would love to see your win rate. 2) stop leaching exp from your adc and go roam.
I see your adcs tend to feed in 5/6 games.
If you say
is so damn good... Why don't you play nonstop 100+ games of only playing Janna Support. See how it goes then come back. If you can't support as that champion and can't do EVERYTHING... Then you have proven yourself wrong.
It's gone pretty well for me.
Checks your op.gg Well shit... Are you a Janna main? Props to you on that match history anyways! That is some damn good match history you got going there! You got losses but you can't win every game right?
Anyways... OP is an ADC main and is complaining about Supports being useless if they aren't
. If you see the other comments here, you can see how well that is going for them.

Most of my conversation with them has been them trying to tell me how supports are played and me just checking their match history and seeing absolutely no support experience
Yeah I have seen that too. Kinda sad. I love playing support myself, really gives you a different perspective in a match. Gotta keep your eyes out for any incoming ganks as just one example. My go to ones so far:

I don't pick anything else.
Unless she's banned or taken, in which case I roll with nami.
Here's a quick run down of supports and what they're good at:
Peel Supports: These supports do one thing - they pull enemies off the ADC and otherwise keep enemies away with their crowd control. Examples: Tahm Kench, Janna, Alistar, Leona, Nautilus, Thresh Blitzcrank.
Utility Supports: These supports heal and or shield and often focus on keeping the ADC alive with buffs ans crowd control. Examples: Braum, Soraka, Taric, Nami, Sona, Lulu, Bard.
Poke Supports: These supports focus on flat out damaging their opponents. Theironically object is to either set up easy kills for their ADC or to drive the enemies from the lane, starving them of creep score and precious XP. Examples: Morgana, Vel'Koz, Zyra, Karma, Brand.
All of these supports are viable options for various team set ups. Not every support is going to peel. Not every support is going to poke. However, depending on your ADC, one may be better than the other. An ADC like Caitlyn, who has her own peel with her net and some CC with her snap traps pairs very well with a poke support because they can easily set up kills for her. Alternatively, an ADC like Miss Fortune or Jhin is fairly immobile and benefits more from a peel support since they fill in the gaps of their defenses. So all supports have their synergies, but everyone except Janna is not trash, as you seem intent on emphasizing.
