Hey Riot, thanks for listening to us and nerfing turrets
It's what we all wanted.

Yeah it is like turning scuttle into a Rng based objective, which everyone was asking for.

Yeah it is like turning scuttle into a Rng based objective, which everyone was asking for.
In fairness the turret changes actually do give Top and some mid/junglers that can split/breach more agency which isn't all that bad.
The scuttle changes accomplish nothing Riot wanted to happen and nothing that people were asking for.
I'm glad I have to ban Singed, Dr. Mundo, and Jax from my games. It's like Christmas came early!
Games were going past the 20 minute mark and Lord knows Riot can't allow that.
and Rito knows Tencent won't allow that

Gotta keep the Internet Café Users happy
Internet cafes users are happy, the rest of the world is not... I really do hope that they've carefully considered the numbers and are sure that their internet cafe players outweigh the rest.
By the way, do you know what's kind of funny? That we did have a game mode with fast paced short games.
It was called "Dominion", and it got so unpopular that Riot removed it from the standard modes.
For this reason imho it is possible that trying to push Summoner's Rift to have fast paced short games might prove to be... quite counterproductive.
Don't forget the nerf to Baron that made it hard to kill it with two people. Everyone was so vocal on how they hated having an actual boss camp. Good shit Riot thanks for taking that away.
Next up, FF@10, but the enemy team ALSO has to agree to it. Making it 10 votes to 0.
#Unnecessary Changes
Meanwhile on Twisted Treeline . . . We can't tell the difference. XD
I think they should keep the health of turrets reduced, but increase their resists to compensate. This would make the health regen even more valuable to them.
= Do I comment something about how maybe this isn't an overall tower nerf, na Ill save the downvote wave for another thread =
sometimes it feels like Riot just wants to see what they can get away with while players still play despite being unhappy with changes
what jungler wants the scuttler's spawn randomized with only 1 minute warning? who thought that comebacks should be even more unlikely and you basically should autolose if your team is behind (no matter how hard you try and even if you did decently)?! it's not enough that they have a lead, but also they get countless other automatic advantages from minions and other things. it seems Riot heard "being behind and feeling like you're stuck in a lost game sucks" and thought "OK, LET'S MAKE YOU LOSE EVEN FASTER!!!" instead of "OK, let's find ways to make leads less automatic wins and give fair but reasonable ways of coming back (even shut down gold is a little unfair because in a way, the team that's ahead gets punished more for a mistake). Let's find a way to make it so games almost never feel completely lost just by virtue of being behind and getting all these undeserved advantages such as minions pushing harder."
and who decided "we want no late game at all"?

But late is actually a problem. Teams flip flop. Which just ends up reflecting on team behavior even if someone doesn’t like the other person they have to work together to win but at a certain time it’s enough. Late brings nothing but boredom it’s badicaly 40 minutes in when you get to late game. While the regular matches should be 35 mins and even some are 20.

maybe for you
I for one would like to play the full game with all its intricacies as well as the back and forth of a close game
late is totally different and way more interesting to me: more tension, can get fantasy builds, huge damage, every decision or death REALLY counts etc. ... my favorite part by far
just as importantly, having a late game opens up more of the champion pool
but perhaps best of all, when games actually have a late game as a norm, you don't feel totally useless and like you're wasting time if your team lost early

Late game is 10 minutes in now.

EA, is that you? XD
Oh you wanted turrets buffed? You should have asked for nerfs, riot's dev hubris just ends up doing the exact opposite of what people asked for.
Lol, the first person to back without teleport loses tower, already almost happens bot lane, our tower has 1/10 of it's hp when me and my adc get back.
no. no! You're triggering flashbacks of release Jinx!
+1 made me laugh
idc as much about the health of a turret but i wish damage was buffed against champs so its not easy being doven
Just remove the towers already. What is their purpose anyway? Put a bag of gold in their stead, that's all they are after all.
They're to stall the game and act as a psuedo-safe haven during the early game.*
######*Early game defined as "levels 1-3" in modern LoL.
honestly i was hoping theyd buff those crappy ARAM turrets
I kind of glazed over this part of the patch notes, so I appreciate the refresh. This is a super disappointing nerf because it promotes backdoor wins with champs like Yi (IMO, a very unstrategic way to win a game and the worst way to lose a game)

just gonna drop this by
ADC damage output was super nerfed. The turret changes are making that more neutral, while being a buff to splitpushing (which is very weak).

Yeah, it's not like AP can easily nuke them and champions like Camille and Fiora don't melt turrets in an instant... weaker turrets is literally the last thing people wanted to happen to turrets
Ziggs: Smiles in bomb
will be pretty good once he gets some ap
Ziggs: Smiles in bomb
... you know whats funny? Even though he supposed to be a tower taking specialist, I can use a champ like
with a
and a
plus demolish and once the tower gets to the range where ziggs can blast it I do enough damage to towers to explode them faster XD
Demoilish is completely unnessicary just teemo (or anyone) building ap is enough

True, I usually bring it tho. Reason is, its doable to stand in activation range and wait then take some damage from you laner to score a hit rather than always wait till they aren't at their tower.
you dont have to wait until they arent at their tower just attack the tower thats what range is for. the enemy laner will usually be melee and you can use your range advantage to attack the tower out of their range and if they come up duck out of the tower range and attack them.

Why are people down voting this? I mean I know its good to take demolish but hes not exactly WRONG...
ADC Crit output was nerfed but that only effects damage vs champions since ADC's that aren't Jhin can't crit towers. ADC's will still melt towers.
Graves can crit towers.
cait can headshot towers

Why so much hate? I’m not sure the accuracy, but it sounds like a reasonable guess! It’s not even offensive or anything!
Because its objectively untrue. If anything they destroy towers slightly faster roughly 3 minutes later in the game. Since adc's cannot crit towers and the crit scaling was the only thing about them which was nerfed. The higher AD from items with equivalent attack speed results in adc's doing the MORE damage 600-900 gold later in the game. while its true they do less damage to champions overall, they will do more damage to towers.
"We listen to the feedback"... my ass. [sg-lulu]
What kind of nerf did they do?
What kind of nerf did they do?

tl;dr: tier 3 and 4 towers took a huge health reduction as well as now only regenning health up to the nearest third. They regen to that point a lot faster, but I'm not sure that matters given how weak turrets are nowadays.
that's not the real nerf, no one cares about the health regeneration stuff it's so situational, they decreased turrets maximum health by 10% and 20% respectively
INHIBITOR TURRET HEALTH 3600 ⇒ 3300 NEXUS TURRET HEALTH 3600 ⇒ 2700
that is on top of the nerf to turrets magical resistance some time ago
a super minion is a lot stronger than a nexus turret now, it's funny.
holy tap-dancing aurelion sol on a cracker I didn't even notice that.

Before it was a refund, so you needed full mana to cast but would get it back. Now you can even cast it when oom. The change is actually quite good.
Kind of funny how you guys get butthurt over towers. I like it.
