Title just curious on what their punishments are and if Riot can give us like a message that "so-and-so person is banned for X amount of days, etc".

Chat ban, temp ban, full ban. Reporting helps a little.

Riot will never disclose actual punishments. However, the tribunal used to tell you how the case was resolved, just not too specific. Not sure the tribunal is even up anymore.

Punishments include:

  • Chat restriction.
  • Ranked restrictions.
  • Temporary suspensions.
  • Permanent bans.

Right now the bulk of the reports are handled by an automated system. Reporting players makes it more likely for them to get flagged and reviewed for punishment. Writing something in the report box can be helpful if the person you're reporting reaches the point where they get manually reviewed by a Rioter.

so if someone feeds, he will get what report?

Depends on the severity of the offense. Repeat offenders will get harsher punishment than the dude who intentionally feeds once every 100 games.

Depending on whether they seem to be feeding on purpose, you can report them for Griefing/Assisting Enemy Team, Intentionally Feeding, or Unskilled Player. Unskilled Player should be used if you honestly believe that they are not skilled enough to play at their current MMR.

1 is noted, everyone gets one. 2 within a certain time frame (not sure how long) is a warning. 5 is a punishment of some kind based on severity. after punishment chronic of the same issue may result in a ban.

after you report someone you wont ever play with them again (up through gold).

That is wrong. Reporting or ignoring someone has no impact on matchmaking. You can still see them in your games, it's just unlikely due to the size of the matchmaking pool at lower Elo.

i said through gold, ofc if your in diamond riot is going to match you with the only other 10th person thats on to get the game going. if you are in silver/bronze, you wont ever see them again no matter how much you play.

It's unlikely, but it's possible to get them in your games. If you keep losing with them on your team, they're staying in your MMR range.

All matchmaking does is take 10 players in the same MMR range.

Which is the problem I get matched with toxic players on some days constantly 50% of my games end up getting troll reported resulting in automated restrictions which I don't even care about honestly not going to bother me at all, although Riot does need to fix the system.

The harder punishments are handed down by Riot, the ones with Intentional Feed, Racism, Extreme Verbal Abuse etc.

Riot needs to bring the Tribunal Back, but include pre-game chat, so players can actually see whose fault it is when players auto lock and refuse to talk causing a game meta to be broken, on the other hand they have been talking about putting in a role selection for ranked, if they did this it would bring down toxicity a lot champion select wise except for those who just verbally abuse others.

Most of the toxic moments happen when players don't talk, end up getting 3 players who want a role, or a player who can't play a role very well and does bad players start to rage which is why a role selection would help to cut back on perhaps a lot of this.

There should also be a vote disband system if you get trolls on your team you can vote to disband the game.
