Revert all the changes and leave Darius alone

1: You made his passive weaker but made it physical so that it can be used perfectly with item 3071. A big nerf for his early game and good buff for his mid to late game.

2: Q deals less damage and now heals and DOES NOT ADD A STACK OF BLEED. You gave him sustain in exchange of power.

3: Biggest nerf here. You removes his attack speed reduction. You made the slow practically 1 sec. Damage wise, I don't know yet.

4: pull remains the same thank God.

5: ultimate deals less damage in exchange for a 5 second AD steroid.

Nice Rework there and nice compensations as well.

What's the purpose of this Rework either

way?

Remember this is PBE so all of these are subject to change.

What do you guys have to say especially the Darius mains?

EDIT: Rookie mistake by me. I read it when it was WIP Working in Progress. So yeah what is your opinion? I think this is good but why give him sustain?

As Darius main player I have to say. You're making this champion more ordinary like any other bruiser. He got completely useless lanining phase. Low damage with R, Q, Physical dmg passive. Now this is so easy to dodge his Q. Hello Riven! Darius doesnt kill enemy. He will stay, push with Q like a moron and heal % HP. Safe pick as Maokai. He will be fine for sure but you ruined my playstyle. Snowballed MS killing machine. Now Darius is supposed to be slow. Hemmorhage doesn't provide MS buff anymore. Sigh... Boring champion. Safe boring champion. Random morons who build sunfire+hydra+ninja tabi will be useful. Makes no sence P.S The worst part of this is fix to his E. He can't pull escaped opponents during the cast. That was so reliable to pull pack fcking Riven or any other "hit and run" champion. Kite and poke are real.

His Q is basically a Renekton Q now.

I just want to know why they need to change his q the way they did. It gives him more sustain but he was and probably will still be a lane bully so it seems unnecessary. The removal of Hemorrhage on the handle also seemed unnecessary. And the .75 second delay seems a bit clunky.

Agreed. Darius is supposed to be a selfish asshole who obliterates his lane opponent and splitpushes the rest of the game, only teamfighting to KS with his ult. Not someone who is forced to build tank and encouraged to teamfight. I know it's not the healthiest playstyle but he fills that unique niche.

  1. The only situation where it's weaker early on if you're against a cloth 5 pot start or a malphite, but it actually makes sense, because you can actually build against him defensively.

  2. It doesn't add a stack of bleed if they are hit by THE HANDLE. The blade (the outer circle) still counts. And the sustain is going to be pretty damn strong, mostly because darius had none of it so far.

  3. I was disappointed in the w changes too, right now it only works as an autoattack reset, and a bleed stack applier. In itself it's not really strong, but it works really well with your shiny new ult passive.

  4. You forgot the brief slow.

  5. it has 60/50/40 less base damage in exchange for a batshit insane ad steroid, but now that i'm reading this stuff on the pbe notes, it also seems to have no mana cost on reactivations, and no mana cost at all at level 3. Also it terrifies minions and monsters around him when he executes someone. (?)

Also you forgot the base stats buffs, all of them are quite big.

As a darius main, i dont really care about the changes as long as they dont change the pull and ult significantly. But i love these, mostly because it makes darius an actual teamplayer instead of a (maybe) soloq carry. Also i'm really interested in possible new builds for him, probably trying things out in a more tanky direction.
