Please Allow Ranged champions to execute via Spoils of War

Title. Pretty much just for Thresh. All the other ranged supports are better off with Spellthief anyway, so why not allow this? It couldn't be abused in other lanes, since it requires an ally present.

Edit: In case it's not clear; anyone can last-hit without using mana. Ranged supports aren't prevented from buying Relic shield right now, and MAGE supports aren't the ones I'm talking about. They're unhealthy because of the damage output they can have anyway. They all have the option to rush Sightstone anyway.

AND HP alone won't be enough to make mage supports any more overpowered, if so then you would see more of them finishing , but instead they usually finish FQC. The argument that they'd be too tanky to be fair is moot.

Do you know why Nidalee takes Strength of Ages as a carry jungler instead of Fervor, DFT or Thunderlords to deal even more damage?

Because it removes literally her only weakness: getting burst down.

That's what Face of the Mountain does for ranged supports. You thought Brand support was ez kill right? Well now he gets to get early tankiness when he doesn't need AP, and when he does need AP, he'll buy AP.

I see your point, but if you were correct, then there'd be no reason not to buy it now. Thresh buys it, and he has only his E to last-hit effectively. If Brand were to get his new passive off, he'd easily share gold.

the reason to not buy it now is because it doesn't give you enough gold compared to Frostfang, which can easily net you 500+ more gold and let you purchase a Ruby Crystal faster. Allowing ranged to execute makes it easier to get gold.

I totally see your point. It's one of the main reasons I don't play Thresh anymore, actually: I lose my adc cs when I fail last-hitting, and the coin isn't tanky enough that he can ever use his q to go in, taking out a lot of his engage potential. When I play adc, I cringe when I see thresh supports because in the mid-silver I run in, their presence with a spoils item is going to lose me 5-15 cs in the first 12 minutes--a little more than an assist worth of gold.

Even better, if I could use it on ranged champs, I could seriously try Cait or Ashe as supports.

However, the gold on spoils items are balanced around taking some risk to get the reward, like with spellthief. If you balance the income it closer to the no-risk coin, then all my nice tank support have less money, and that makes my Braum and Leona and Trundle sad.
