Why is Anivia's difficulty bar full?
literally all you do is hit e and then r
e first because it has travel time to minimize counterplay.

No mobility Mana problems that make Pantheon and GP jealous Horrendous Movespeed Skillshot reliant Slowest moving CC in the game Can sentence her whole team to death with a bad wall Loses lane against anyone that isn't Zilean or Veigar Goes OOM even with blue and tear, especially after the nerfs to regen Ult gets cancelled by almost anything, including Egg Form Needs fantastic positioning if she wants to hit a chilled squishy with her E Can't rush anything that isn't a mana item Becomes squishier with her egg early game Has an actual stage of the game when she is weak, unlike newer champions

I would like to make one change to that list, Anirva thrashes many mid laners. I picked her up again recently, while I wouldn't want her against Ahri or mobile assassins most of the time, I destroyed Kata and Akali, if they dive, ur passive and wall means that they are unlikely to get any kills.
Oh, really? So there's no reason to press Q or W at all? Or right click? How about attack move or target champion only, do those do anything?
For the love of god can people stop making these threads? Anivia's difficulty is very high. Her pre 6 lane phase is exceptionally weak vs ranged opponents in low-moderate elo, where auto attack range isn't used correctly. Walls are exceptionally difficult to place well, and mistakes can be horrendous. Qs are the slowest skillshot in the game, and missing can be instant death, even with an egg. Ult placement in teamfights isn't nearly as easy as it initially seems, and mistakes there can be punishing due to a moderate cooldown between replacement. Her positioning in teamfights is relatively unique, and again, mistakes can be very painful. Even clearing waves isn't as easy as it seems due to the low placement range of her ult. You must balance between placing the ult very early before the minions arrive in order to avoid damage/catch threat and placing it late to conserve mana.
Seriously though, using her wall alone would merit a rating of 5 as far as I'm concerned. You're going to tell me this shit is easy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXUSuoVdZks

OH CrAP I just learnt SomEthinG! If you use the wall after the dash has started, it cancels the DASH! I thought Anirva was weak to dash champs like Xin and Lee, but if that work across the board, then that wall is even more of a life saver than I've been using it for. I need to go online and practice :D
Hey, another person who thinks the definition of being a "skill" champ is just about being the most broken overloaded button mashy-flashy piece of shiet ever.
EDIT: An overloaded kit is hard on paper, a restricting kit is hard in practice, it's all about picking your poison.
^This so much. I hate people that say "but meh Zed is hard cuz i has to hit the buttons." No, your champ isn't "hard" when he can do anything he wants. I hate seeing those videos of Faker where he just Rs someone under a tower, throws a bunch of shit, and Rs out untouched. That is not "outplayed", that is "outpicked".
Why is veigar's difficulty bar almost full? All you have to do is press R on their apc, lol.
A champion's skillcap tends to increase once he becomes unplayable.
It's very sad to hear such a statement from a diamond player. I would expect you at least to understand why Anivia is difficult to master.
You obviously played some FOTM melee champ against her and got wrecked, or your positioning is terrible. If she's just R - Eing you in lane, just... cast your own stuff? I'm sure that's really hard, considering how HUGE (sarcasm) the range on her E is. It's far safer for her to poke with Q then E if she stuns you. Good anivias will use wall to help them land Q, anyway. See sooko's list for any more concerns.
Because when bad players use W they kill their whole team.
The champion difficulty bar is made for newer players. It measures the difference between how successful new players are with that champion on their first game with them and on some amount of games later with them (we'll say 5). If a champion has a large difference between the winrate on the first game someone has with them and their winrate after 5 or so games, then they are given a high difficulty rating. That certainly applies to Anivia. Her playstyle is something people aren't going to just luck into understanding if they don't know how the game works.
So, even if you were correct that Anivia is an easy champion to play (and you aren't), that would still be irrelevant because that is not what this bar measures.
she isn't difficult to play lol
anivia players actually qq'd when their missle speeds got increased because harassing under tower became harder, did you know?

Her auto attack projectile speed, yes.
Her other speeds didn't get changed. And I maintain my earlier statements.
