One of these days, we will take out "outside" factors from ranked...
Duo queue abuse is so flawed.
Boosting accounts Extremely one-sided matchmaking (completely 3 bad, 0 lp teammates that don't care with 2 try hards)
Then we have "new" seasons where you literally do the same placements, to land in the same "mmr" that supposedly doesn't exist anymore.
Like the only reason I see placements existing is because Riot wants players to come back - do placements and maybe find the spark that got them into the game in the first place. Only to be disappointed, climb to gold/plat then sell their accounts.
Then we have the good ole auto-fill. I've been complaining about this for years, we already have a game mode that is "ranked", that supposedly determines how good you are, throw you into a worse situation where someone else SUCKS at your role.. plays your role lol.
Then we have the higher ranking players, that literally hit plat+ from 10 placement games - won the lottery.
- give them a few months, I guarantee half of those guys derank or barely play 1 game a month and somehow float in plat+
So when the flood of ACTUALLY good players go into matchmaking - they get inactive players, sold accounts that people OBVIOUSLY are abusing these boosted accounts with macros and scripts. Players in the higher rankings don't even take the game seriously . . at all.
Even in higher gold - players still somehow manage to die to a Tryn and run 0-3 top, spam surrender and are just blatantly "soft" toxic so they can get what little enjoyment they can, with an icing on top if they tilt someone to get that awesome feeling of reporting people. (Everyone does this)
The games market is literally appealing to pro, with the rigged finals to bring non-koreans back into the game NA and EU are complete trash teams, then we see the SAME trash teams RECYCLED through - because they complain about not getting enough pay LOL. Maybe one day we will see a tournament, where teams aren't magically invited into the top. Even Starcraft 2 sticks to their elim tournament style with rounds of 64, groups of 4.. that's crazy.
