we need another item to build from Quisksilver sash

right now item 3140 is a very important defensive tools vs certain champs like mal and warwick. however the ONLY thing you can build out of it is item 3139 . which is a great item if you going AD, but for the other say...*half * the the champions in the game which want to get qss and want say AP or somthing else its pretty much leave as QSS until we either drop the item or finish everything else and have the extra gold to upgrade it for the movement speed bonus

Most suppression effects are shory range and can be negated by any form of CC. Unless you're getting caught by yourself you're more than likely to have someone else being able to break it for you.

  • Mages can build Zhonya's, their longer spell range makes them less susceptible to getting caught.
  • AD champions can build Mercurial without losing too much.
  • This leaves tanks who are generally low priority targets anyway.

While sure they're less susceptible to getting caught, they still do, and you're not able to activate zhonyas during CC, so if you get caught you're dead. Not to mention that if you're playing a melee AP based champions such as: KassadinGalio Diana Gragas. You're always in range to get hit by that CC if you're in range to be relevant, so for those champions, a QSS is very much desired. Just because they're not typical choices, and not exactly great in a lane matchup, doesn't mean they should be entirely ignored, after all they could be counter picked out, and stuck with a bad matchup.

QSS is a common pickup on ADCs due to it just being a get out of jail free card, I see no reason why a mage with similar positioning requirements shouldn't have it as a viable option as well.

There are only 4 suppressions in the game. Warwick Malzahar Skarner Urgot 3 of those have pretty decent cast range. item 3157 only works if you use it -before- they use their utli's. In which case, they will still have their ulti to use on you as soon as hourglass ends. (And they're all instant-cast, except malz, I think you have 0.25 to cast something before it actually locks you down)

But even apart from suppression, qqs has a lot of uses for breaking lighter front line cc so you can pile into the enemy. And I think if you spend enough gold on the item, it should be allowed for ap bruisers to use it just as well as ad bruisers do.

There could be a limit on it that only melee champs can buy to avoid like...Xerath and Lissandra from being far-far too safe with their range and cc and whatnot..or like item 3139 is better on a melee than a ranged, but ranged still has the option of getting it for the active.

DEAR LORD YES!!!!!! I actually miss when it was just qqs sometimes just cause I used to build it on some ap bruisers who require getting into the middle of a fight. But now it feels like...somehow it's always inefficient cause it has a 3rd tier...just not one I can use. item 3102 and/or item 3157 is about the best you can do. But sometimes it just doesn't feel right. Especially on your more naturally tanky ap's. Come to think of it....A LOT of AP bruisers that could use some love could make good use out of an ap item that has qqs active. Mordekaiser Chogath Diana Evelynn Galio Maokai Singed

Ok, maybe Cho's and Maok are doing ok..but..the rest could use some love, and the right kinda ap/qqs hybrid item might help?

well I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels this way. hopefully we can see something soon.

I don't think making it an AP item would work out well. AP champs are less likely to get caught out mostly, and even if they are they have Zhonyas. That's basically the thing it comes down to. ADs get Merc Scimitar, and APs get Zhonyas. Personally though, I'd love to see QSS build into a somewhat tankier item that bruisers can pick up. Maybe a Giant's Belt or Spectre's Cowl+QSS? There's a low amount of good MR items anyway, and Bruisers, both AD and AP are extremely easy to lock down with CC and focus until very late game where they have a ton of tank items, and even then heavy CC can still get them killed. I'd love to see a QSS tier for MR/HP meant for tanks and Bruisers who need to get into the enemy team and cause havoc. It's hard to cause havoc when you're stunned for 6 full seconds until you die.

as opposed to being stunned for half a second before you die? the fact is if your suppressed or slowed or stuned you want to remove the CC if a tanky support can take damage for 6 seconds before he dies? at least he is being a tank for 6 seconds, if a ap caster is stuned ther going to be flat out dead in no time flat unless they can rid themselves of it. I'm not saying that having it build HP is a bad idea. i just feel that your saying the tank needs CC reduction more than squishy char isn't just wrong, but the opposite is true, they need it a lot less. a tank with no cc reduction still act as a damage sponge with generally CC and support abilities and little damage. any squishy high damage char is what you want to NOT get CCed. that's kinda the whole basis of "focus the ADC not the tank".
