nothing, people just hate change

Riot themselves admitted the system has currently failed so no, people hating change isn't why.

It's new, and therefore has problems. Also it's made by Riot, and therefore has problems.

Jokes aside Riot never finishes anything, so everything will always have problems, just as everything will always get better. A lot of people are impatient and want things to be perfect immediately.

Also there's this little thing about ranked no longer being representative of personal skill, but they will get used to the new set of personal skills needed to do well in dynamic queue as solo players.

That hit the nail on the head. That is one of the best reasonable responses I heard about this." this little thing about ranked no longer being representative of personal skill" Is the real source of the problem. I like playing with people my own skill level. Getting matched up with random premades and really disrupt the balance of the elo match. From groups really trying and have great communication and synergy to asshats just screwing around with friend in ranked blowing off the match.

That is why I put effect into grinding on aram. It's more fun as in less stress while still being challenging.

I'm at highish Elo so I play with people who have a strong understanding of team work and strong knowledge of the game. The complaint "we lost at match up " mentality Doesn't exist there. That mentality is a real downer it's actually extremely rare for that to be true less then 5% with skilled people. I have seen teams pull out "WoW" comments from the enemy team at GG screen a lot and people actually mean "GG" which means good game. Any one left that still remembers what that meants?

Solos and premades are ranked in the same ladder and are placed in matches off that rank as well. Basically ranks can either reflect your skill or your friends with no indication of which is the case. People are being boosted to ranks they shouldn't be in and it's making fair matches more and more difficult to get. Above all solo players gain nothing from this new system and are being treated as tools to keep it running with Riot not even addressing any of their problems in this system.

In general, people tend to call it bad because they don't know what is actually wrong with it. Basically, Riot is trying to bridge the gap between Solo Queue players and grouped players. The majority of players are solo queuers, but the people who have fun with the game are people in groups.

Dynamic Queue is the solution to this, they want to fix this by acting like everyone knows eachother and people who play by themselves are the minority. This is a smart move, they are moving towards a better future as a company. Sadly, they released a video on their YouTube that was called the Roundtable that said "we aren't bringing back solo queue no matter what you guys think" which was basically a eff you to anyone who plays by them self. You can watch that video here

Basically, just play normals
