Junglers Who Cant Gank Til Level 6

Why do they exist?

1st i only knew of WW junglers........then i ran into a Diana jungle who said the same thing. And now this Akali jungler. The list is short I guess.....I dont know of any others that claim this but my thing is why play a jungler that you cant gank til level 6? I have no problem playing cautious, but when the other teams jungler is on his 6th or 7th gank before you make your 1st gank.....odds are your team is behind.

So I guess my question really is, are these champs really useless before level 6? If so, why do people jungle them?

Because in most cases Amumu Diana MonkeyKing Warwick Rengar their level 6 is well worth the wait.

I never thought of Amumu as on the list of no ganks pre 6...I see many gank pre 6.

All of them can gank pre-6, but I personally wait for 6 on Amumu just because it is so much more likely that you will get a kill or sum.

They aren't useless, but they rely on the enemy making bigger mistakes to capitalize on pre6.

Amumu Malphite MasterYi Skarner MonkeyKing Warwick Diana Shyvana These are all champs that are powerful level 6 gankers. They can gank pre6 but they tend to lack either cc or the ability to stick to a target until level 6. However they can countergank and gank if an opponent is out of position. In fact a lot of players who know that these junglers become powerful at 6 will play super aggressively thinking that they are safe from ganks and oftentimes put themselves out of position.

Post 6 these champions can singlehandedly carry games.

idk if i agree with the Malphite tho...i use Malphite and i sometimes jungle him...i gank all the time pre 6.....if enemy is pushed geting behind them and using Q is usually enough so that whoever you are ganking for can come in and do damage too.

Sounds like someone has the "blame jungler" mentality...

But if the enemy has ganked 6 or 7 times then your jungler is probably way ahead in farm and thus as long as you don't trap yourself in the "blame jungler" mentality the game will still be fine.

I dont blame jungler for anything....well only time i ever blamed a jung was if pregame i tell them not to gank and focus other lanes.......then they come gank anyway and end up dieing to my lane...then yeah thats totally their fault.

Diana's engage, ability to keep on target, and like 1/2 her damage all come from her ult

It's necessary that those champs have to wait until they get their ults to gank effectiviely. Since once they do get it, they have the best ganks in the game.

Also, EVERY single jungler in the game can gank pre-6. It may not be the most effective, but if you can't get a flash/heal out of a laner during a gank, you probably shouldn't be jungling at all.

Hard farming to 6 and getting a guaranteed kill on a gank > attempting a gank pre-6 and wasting time/xp/potential gold from farm.

The list is rather long. MasterYi Fizz Malphite are a few. Sure, they have gapclosers and good damage pre-6, but if their gank fails, or if they try to force one, it puts them behind in gold. It's just better to farm to 6 (or 7, as that's generally when they get the jungle item completion powerspike) and get guaranteed kills on ganks. Unless they see an enemy shoved to a tower, that's probably what they're going to do.

Now, about the 6-7 ganks vs. 1 thing. If the enemy jg has ganked 7 times before level 6, they're either playing Shaco, or they're basically not farming at all. Or One lane just keeps shoving and they stay around it. Either way, there should pretty much never be 7 ganks, let alone successful ones, by the time a hard farming jg hits 6.

This is exactly who other team was using that led me to this post. We had a akali jung......12 min in and no one got a gank.....i was ganked top. well attempted gank top 4 times.....i never died from it because i know how to ward........but 12 min in 4 trips top, 2 mid and 1 bot and our akali jung was still level 4.

I dont blame her for nothing...im just wondering why use them.

Ok sure but why1 votes

Well, their ult is their engage. It's the same with Nocturne, but when I play him, I still try to gank before level 6. So, those people are just wimps.

Your team will usually be behind against early ganking junlger, but your 6 is strong enough to make up for that and get them ahead. Unless someone tilts and afks by then (does happen), but then it's their problem, not jungler's (since it doesn't happen too often, I'd say 5% of games. But your 6 is strong enough to win a good portion of the other 95%)

that is why these lv6 junglers sucks in the meta.

I can also question you why champions that can't win trades until level 6 exist.

Ganking is merely one of junglar's many roles.
