Seriously People, Stop Crying About KS (Kill Stealing)

Its just getting ridiculous. The amount of games lost due to someone going straight tilt over what they think was a KS.

What led me to making this post wasnt even a kill I got.

Backstory: Our team was getting wrecked. Other team was in our base. Me (Voli) and Chogath was in a tank fight with the other teams very tanky Malphite. We was 2v1 but he had 6 kills and 10 assists and was very farmed up for the time the game has gone. We were fighting him for a least a good 40 seconds..........all the sudden our top lane vayne came running off the fountain, while we were still fighting him she gets 2 or 3 shots off before he died to Chogath. Then the Vayne types..."pls dont ks me."

WTF??????

You come in when someone is just a few hits from death and call ks after not just 1 but 2 people were fighting him for over half a minute?

To me there is only 1 true KS. It is when you are 1 v 1 with someone and you clearly have the kill in hand. other person is almost dead and you are nowhere near death.......and then someone else just comes up and kills them.

If you are 1 v 1 with someone and im the support or any other role and it looks like you are about to die...you better believe im going to kil them if i can before they kill you.

But to me it seems some people would rather die to get a kill than to live and take a assist.

And the worst KS call i see a lot of babies cry over is the "KS" IN TEAM FIGHTS.........if it is a team fight how can you really call "KS"

Just fucking kill them and go win the game.

Ill gladly take a win in a game i get 0 kills in than to take a loss in a game that im just worried about getting the kill in.

I think the only time it's acceptable to complain about ks is when it is a penta ks. Other than that.......get over it.

What if your whole team gets kicked off of the server one by one? That happened to me in Smite once, and I was a little upset. There wasn't even any maintenance scheduled, and I was able to play a game later.

When that happened your team is clearly getting drop hacked, you should send a support ticket to report the enemy.

It wasn't just my team though. First two members of their team left, then two of mine, then one from each until it was 2 v 1 on my team when I was kicked.

Often that's accidental. I can forgive that because if I almost got a penta, I'm probably already fed. What I reallyyy can't stand is when I've blown everything for a kill trying to get ahead-- set up the kill, used a summ/ a long cd ult, and then someone just swoops in and last hits. That tilts me to hell and back.

Hmmm. Secure a kill and be at an advantage or leave it alone and hope that ally doesn't die... I wonder which is more beneficial for the team... hmm. Tough choice that one.

I'm all for ksing. KS = kill secured.

Just a side note, a KS is worth more for the team than a solo kill. If I'm playing top or mid and the jungle comes along for the last hit I thank them for getting us more team gold.

For one you did not even give a scenario example.....read above to see what the ONLY true KS is.

Any other KS calls is just someone trying to be a glory king.

And to say you will just suicide under turret just really tells everyone a lot about you. You are willing to completely throw the game over 50 gold lol. If 50 gold makes or breaks you something is wrong. You can literally go ill a couple minions and have that.

You said kda. You realize that's kills deaths and assists right? So getting an assist helps your kda just as much as a kill does, while meanwhile, suiciding under tower lowers your kda.

You misunderstand the point of doing that, nor do I expect you to, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway and deal with the barrage of downvotes I receive.

The point of suiciding under the turret after a blatant ks, and when I say blatant ks, I mean you clearly had the kill secured, possessed enough hp that you weren't taking any risk, and all of a sudden you hear "Darkness..." followed by a Nocturne soaring passed you and robbing you of the kill is to send a message, and that message is this: "I am Attack Damage Carry. I need this gold to build the necessary items that will allow me to become strong enough to play a key-offensive, and moreover effective part in future teamfights, and you stealing this kill deprives of me the gold I could be using but can't now, so if you continue to perform this behavior, there will be consequences.

One way or the other, if the adc gets ks'd they lose gold and become useless. If they suicide under the turret, they are still useless, therefore by not being a jackass and understanding that the ADC needs that gold--carry champions do need gold, or were you under the impression that infinity edge and rabadons deathcap costed 0 gold---you prevent a frustrating situation altogether.

Stealing a carry's kill isn't cool, neither is suiciding under turret, but if it takes a firm, hard slap to the face to get someone to fucking act like a proper teammate, then I have no problem with them doing so.

Guess they should have thought of the consequences their actions might hold, because if I don't get fed, I'm useless anyway which means we're going to lose the game.

You just proved my point. Just as an fyi: I've been as high as 95LP in Bronze 1 before, so I know I'm ready to get out. But since this is still bronze, it is very possible to get sent hurling back down by other players. That's just the way things work in my ELO.

Sorry, man - it sounds like you just have a severe case of narcissism. Once you get over your "I'm the most important player on this team" mentality, then you'll probably get out bronze.

Don't blame your ELO, don't blame the other players on your team - focus on what you did wrong and what you could have done better. That's the only way you'll ever improve.

Oh, trust me it's not narcissism. I am fully capable of admitting to when something is my fault, and I am likewise unwilling to admit to when something isn't my fault. We call this dignity.

I mean shit, if I wasn't able to take advice, I'd be stuck in b5 instead and believe me when I say there is a whole world of difference between b5 and even b3. B3 is like the bridge that separates the people who deserve to be in bronze from the people who don't deserve to be in bronze.

In a nutshell: I don't deny that I'm bronze nor do I deny that I could use some helpful advice. T2G gave me fantastic advice through his streams, legitimately improved my jg game and still is with each video I watch. Your advice is just shit.

Each kill is worth about 13 CS give or take. Let's say at 20 minutes in, you have 150 CS (which is reasonable) but no kill participation while your enemy laner has say two kill and no assists but only has 120 CS. You are actually then even in gold with that enemy. Farming well is actually the easiest way to get fed in my opinion. Yes early kills are nice don't get me wrong but they are not imperative to getting a lead.

There is a huge difference between a Kill Secure and someone wasting their flash just to steal a kill. one doesn't hurt the team where as your adc not having flash because he wanted the extra 100 gold is just stupid and lets you know that they belong in bronze.

This is just asking for a lose. This is why pre-rework LeBlanc was called a troll champion. She had to farm champions, because she couldn't farm minions. What it lead to were situation where LB had 80% of kills on the team, while her team had to manage with an insignificant CS advantage, while being kills down compared to the enemy team.

It's worse when you're about to kill the enemy mid laner and draw first blood, but out of nowhere your jungle ekko flash e aa and takes away that juicy gold. #TiltedLivesMatter

This has been a thing since season 1 but from what I've seen the majority of the ones who do this are bronze or unranked players. Sometimes salty adcs who get angry at supports for taking ignite. Either way it's not really something to get upset over you just ignore them and move on.

I wish this was true. A friend of mine has a silver friend who plays adc while I support, and whenever I accidentally get the kill while trying to save her, I get the guilt trip and constant "please dont steal my kills". Feels bad, man.

When I play jungle or top, even as a carry jungler/top like MasterYi or Riven I get nervous when all the kills are on me.

I don't want to solo carry.

I want a team snowball where the enemy team has zero chance of coming back.

That means maximizing team gold.

Sorta off-topic, but one time it was late game and I decided to go take our jungle's blue which our jg showed no intent of getting. He then afk'd at fountain because of that.

If I'm playing Darius and we're in a heated teamfight and I'm about to dunk execute someone but he gets killed while I'm mid-air and we lose the fight because I don't get noxian might instantly (lowering my damage potential a lot) then you bet your ass I am going to be all over you.

Playing One for All coupla days ago, my reksai buddy was in a 1v1 against vlad and his hp was declining quick so i decide to tunnel in and help him, but then he gets mad at me for ks when i actually thought he was gonna die. What about these situations?

If your teammate is about to die....kill the enemy.....if your teammate complains then if the situation comes up again then let him die....im pretty sure he is going to complain about getting no help then.

Its really a lose / lose with those type of selfish people. Like i've said before....some people would rather die to get a kill than to live and get a assist.
