Supporting has regressed to a child-like state with each passing season...

These "new" champions are some of the most overloaded crap EVER to walk into botlane. Before them, there were some problem supports like Blitzcrank who were essentially gimmicks and relied on one combo to win the lane but they had VERY distinctive weaknesses such as dodging Blitz's Q essentially made him useless.

Now we have supports in the game that are horrifically power crept...

A LeeSin copycat who has free dashes every few seconds - Rakan A champion that many will admit is an overloaded Blitzcrank 2.0 - Thresh and now

A support that isn't even a support but an assassin with a "Look guys! I'm helping" gold share while having overloaded dashes, stealth and a very powerful execute - Pyke.

These champions are the sole reason that I don't play much League anymore. They simply have ruined my favourite role. Supports should NOT be about your own individual players but about helping you team. The clue is in the name... "Support"

and although people moan about Brand (who can be fixed with a few simple number changes), the botlane will NEVER be the same again because of these horrible champion designs. These champions have power crept the meta to the point where taking some support champs is completely unviable.

When was the last time you saw a Zilean support or any of the mild, less power crept and less mobility crept supports?

I do feel that this game is past the point of saving. If you do not pick a mobile support, you will get absolutely shit on by supports that do have infinite forms of mobility.

These three champions symbols when the game became less about strategy and patience, and more about out and out killing and speed.

League has regressed into a child-like state.

I agree; give Janna her 55% win rate back.

I mean, as a former support main (who quit pretty much after the ward limit was added, because I knew where they were going with it) the fact that thresh has received virtually no nerfs but remains extremely viable, despite the constant power creep in the game speaks volumes about how much he actually influenced the current state of the support design and meta...

It could be worse, CertainlyT could make an overloaded Soraka 2.0 meets Zyra 2.0 featuring a ton of heals, magic damage, zoning ability, and CC.

The newer supports aren't the issue. Pyke has a dogshit winrate and is rarely seen because he falls off so hard mid to late game. The issue is that supports have had their items, gold income, and base stats nerfed to the point where the role itself is nearly worthless. Speaking as a support main here.

Pyke is a bad design, that is obvious. He is an assassin pretending to be a support and should be reworked as a midlaner.

While I was wondering if riot was going to make any AD supports, I was thinking they'd try something like leona but with an AD ratio, a support bruiser, or an ADC with more utility and less scaling than Ashe.

Yes, because him getting one item and killing you with his ult when it has one point in it when you have half health? Yeah, fun for those who play him, not those against him.

And because I know someone is going to say that's impossible: I've had it happen to me, I've seen it happen to others, it's an actual thing that happens. All he needs is one damage item and oh look, half health and you're dead.

if he can execute you at half health that means you fed him, it's usually at 15% of your health
