Right, but the point is that all of those items have always been more expensive. You see, it's supposed to be this thing called scaling. You might now know what that is since it's been erased from all the modern history texts of LoL. Actually, when you used to be able to take games past 25 minutes. You were supposed to be stronger than the champs that built dusk blade as your reward for behind but at a moderate disadvantage early. I know it's insane but it's almost like the game used to have defined phases, a healthy macro environment in higher elos, and defined picks at every role that were not bruisers 90% of the time. You dont need triforce damage if they die from the first duskblade rush^^
Lord dom is defiantely problematic though, but new IE is ....not that bad from what i can tell, the added damage doesnt seem to be too much.
Even seems to have lost some.

Duskblades damage isnt actually all that much though. Its like... 199 at level 18 or so? And it can only be procc'd once? Its fairly balanced right now.
IE is also in a good spot. Marksmen lost a LOT of their burst damage (which is good) in favor of a much more healthy sustained damage.

BC is similar to Dominiks except it's %shred and not pen, therefore it benefits to the whole team ; and in most cases, BC's simply better.
If we're talking assassins, since the changes to LW, LDR is a far better pick than BC in terms of raw damage. You take BC for the health, CDR, and ofc armor shred it offers, but if you're looking to tear into people with front loaded damage, you take LDR. As a third item against carries, you're netting yourself 30 additional raw armor pen at the time of building it.

Yes, but it's not particularly strong. If you look at the stats and cost, it is LITERALLY old last whisper from a few seasons ago (when it gave total pen) with +500 gold cost. It used to cost 2300. In terms of pure powerlevel, I think BC is stronger as a whole, though there are some niche cases like assassin who would maybe benefit more of LDR (but not by that much)
IE isn't that powerful. ADCs can't even use it right now because it takes too much time to scale.
LDR - I hardly see it because tanks are basically obsolete.
It isn't those items. Duskblade is actually a stronger item since its powerspike is stronger in this early game meta.

tanks are the fucking issue League of Tanks
I very much agree that Duskblade has not had a positive impact on the game. It's a major reason why the damage of certain champions, especially AD assassins, is so front-loaded, when the entire point to AD burst champions was that they were meant to use multiple autoattacks in conjunction with their spells to maximize their damage. Additionally, whenever Lethality's good on non-assassins, the item automatically gets abused to give this same kind of front-loaded burst to champions who are absolutely not healthy with it, namely divers like Jarvan and Wukong. By its very design, the item reduces counterplay, and adds exactly the least healthy form of burst that can be achieved in the game, while also severely warping the balance of AD assassins around it. As such, I think it deserves to be removed, and assassins need to be balanced around the strength of their own kit, rather than made to rely on upfront on-hit burst.
Lol what? The problem isn't even items. It is early game gold enabling strong early champions to sweep the game.
I don't know why this post is getting upvoted.
Your suggestion is horrid. Duskblade doesn't need to be removed - it needs a change. I say just remove the bonus damage/true damage and keep the ward removal skill.
As I've mentioned before, Duskblade is the gold equivalent of a mage item that looks like this:
85 AP 10% CDR 12mpen oracle lens passive 30-200 proc passive 2900g
That's like an AP wet dream. It's the sort of item everyone looks at on paper and thinks, "that's too strong and will never exist." But you replace the AP and mpen with gold equivalent AD, and suddenly it's totally fine?
Hint: it's not fine.
I mean you've got Luden's. The passive proc is just as good, if not better since it helps in wave clear too. The raw stats are also more efficient than Duskblade's. At 3200G what you get in Luden's is pretty similar to what you get for 2900g in Duskblade in terms of slot efficiency.
Really the only debatable part is how much the Blackout passive is worth.
You all complain about Duskblade, but assassins are made by design to delete squishy targets quickly. If you remove DB passive from the game completely, they'd compensate assassins for it and you'd ALL still be pissed. Next thing we'd bitch about is Ghostblade or something, saying its ridiculous that they can move fast enough to close the gap on a ranged carry. Hell, maybe we'd jump on the "Electrocute OP" train?
Y'all need to face facts, it isn't the item that pisses you off. It's getting deleted that pisses you off. The entire class grinds your gears, but you bitch like Duskblade is the culprit that's causing you to get shafted. That measly 30-200 bonus physical damage is just fucking your worlds up. Right? Lol.
well, I believe what the person is implying...is that such an item is incredibly gold efficient until very late game
a high amount of AP, a cut to champions' already low MR, cooldown reduction, a passive that STACKS with ludens, making it not that bad of an idea to rush them both, oracle lens...
if this came out as an AP item, it would crowd out other picks for first pick with mages just for how efficient it is
for an example of how efficient it is, ludens is 300 gold more for 5 AP, mana that does not really help the item and a passive that is weaker than that depending upon level
They wouldn't need compensation? I don't get this logic of "things that get nerfed need compensation buffs". It's simple. You nerf them. THE END.
There was a time when assassins ruled the game. That time was called Season 3. That was a time when duskblade didn't exist. A time when Zed was picked mid and built botrk. first item. And he was considered a top tier pick. To the point where there was literally two zeds fighting each other in competitive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPCfoCVCx3U
All that would change is instead of rushing lethality item A, they would rush lethality item B. Which isn't even a power shift when you look at all the lethality items and realise they all give identical stats.
Never understood how getting bursted by an enemy you can't see until the last second is considered healthy or how you try to counter this with wards only to be rendered useless by
and good luck stepping into the fog of war to put down another ward, I'll see you at the fountain.
As someone who loves playing assasins and almost full AD divers and bruisers I agree.
That item forces every AD assasin into the same build and takes a lot of their power budget + more damage on 1 Aa without a reset us boring af. I would remove the damage passive and keep the other one, maybe change the stats to fit in support build too. This would prevent adc abusing it too.
For once I actually agree with you.
patient zero
Then compensation buff all users.
It's almost like a Statikk Shiv or Luden's Echo equivalent for attack damage and lethality stats. You might as well chuck out the other items that tack on bonus burst damage on hit or on cast.
.
why not just put the proc on like a 15 sec cd so it can only be used once per fight rather 4 times, im looking at you
(not as if the could survive that long tho

So let me get this straight, Duskblade is the reason why all the jungle mains left the game in 8.10/8.11 ?
Is duskblade the reason why we have all the funneling going on?
I personally think it is due to the 8.10/8.11 jungle/scuttle changes and not duskblade as the cause of this "toxic" meta.
