Problems with infinite scaling.

Due to the nature of the game right now, where early leads, early csing, and even 1 death in lane can cost you the entire match. Infinite scaling is at all time broken toxic levels..

Take nasus for example. Because of how insane the damage is in the game at the moment, you lose one time to him, or get an unlucky gank by his jungler that kills you, or hell, even pushes you back to base without teleport, or ganks you a second time after you tele.. you're screwed and nasus practically won that entire game by himself due to the infinite scaling. You can no longer contest him in lane because he has a 9 year slow + tick damage on his AOE and even if you remotely have a chance of killing him anyway he'll just ult..

Now every Q he does gets him infinite stacks, with infinite amounts of free gold worth of damage...

Now I haven't done the math myself, but but the amount of gold worth of damage he can get is in and of itself broken imo, (no champion should just be able to get free damage and hundreds of gold worth of damage for literally doing what eveyrone else does in the game..). This makes him a massive priority for both top and jungler.. (and even then it has to be a constant focus, or he will easily get back into the game).

Now the enemy has free reign over the drakes, and the enemy jungler can free hard focus bot to ensure that lane is losing hard.

Now you're stuck with 2 weak members + drakes going over.. All because the top laner chose an infinite scaling champ that HAS to be shut down 24/7 throughout the entirety of the game or he'll just bounce back through free gold damage stacking...

Maybe back in the day, it would of been alright, when 1 death didn't mean losing your lane... but now? No..

Freeze the lane. Also who cares if you can't beat nasus 1v1. Play to win, and play with your team. You don't need to win lane every game.

You wanna talk about hundreds of gold worth of stats? Darius' passive gives him 8050 gold worth of AD at level 18 EIGHT FUCKING THOUSAND. But its just level 18 bro Level one it's 1050. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Sometimes people forget Yasuo, Akali, and Aphelios aren't the only champions CertainlyT designed.

https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/yqioklAk-certainlyt-should-not-be-allowed-to-make-another-champion Lol I was googling the list and I find this 5 years ago. 5 years ago people knew about the problem, and 5 years later league is gigashit.

Well, it seems the real problem here is not specifically with infinite scaling, but with the state of the game and how high damage is currently. Riot made games go faster, so later game champs like Nasus started to become obsolete due to the fat that by the time they become useful, the game is already decided. So what did they do? Instead of taking steps to make the game less rapid fire, they buffed his stacks so that he gets more damage faster. Riot is buffing way more than they should and the new champions they are releasing are just making the situation worse. They make the new champions overpowered so that people will play them a lot. If the champ isn't OP on release, they hotfix buff them(Ex: Yuumi). Now compared to those champions, the older ones seem too weak. Time to buff those guys so they aren't underperforming. If we keep going this way, The game is going to be come unrecognizable from what it used to be. You shouldn't always buff what is underperforming. More often than not, you should nerf what is overperforming. I love Gnar, and decided to main him a long time ago. Since then he has been buffed over and over again. While the buffs feel good, I know he doesn't need them. The reason he isn't standing out isn't because he is weak, it's because the other toplaners are too strong. If Kass, Fizz, Diana, Zed, Talon, and Qiyana are too strong, NERF THEM instead of buffing the rest of the midlaners. In short, Riot needs to stop raising the bar before balance is completely lost and everything comes tumbling down.

Nasus is so weak earlygame after 1 death you should be dominating him with almost every champ, he is also really weak in teamfights and can be infinitely kited by mages/ADCs. You can't fix him until you fix the kiting. This became his whole theme so it's definetly staying, I wouldn't say infinite scaling is healthy but it's definetly fun to play.

in plat + nasus has a 52% win rate but barely picked or banned with a 2.88% pick rate and a 1.43% ban rate in plat + veigar has a 50.69% win rate but barely picked or banned with a 2.94% pick rate and a 1.09% ban rate.

so the two infinite scaling champs having low pick and ban rates means they arent strong.

And yet Sion, Nasus, and Veigar are not overpowered
