League of Bruisers anyone?

Both Randuins and Black Cleaver are getting buffed or changed slightly respectively.

Black Cleaver: losing its flat armor pen, but gaining Phage's unique movement speed on hit passive. Still has its armor shred though.

Randuin's Omen: Now applies the Cold Steel passive off of its active. When activated, it gives 15% attack speed for every enemy hit by the active.

With these changes, I can see quite a few attack speed reliant (or somewhat reliant) bruisers completely dominate the top lane and maybe jungle. My guesses are:

My top two guesses are Irelia and Wu. Irelia is already really strong, and Wu is also in a really good spot right now. I think these changes would benefit these two the most.

What are your guys thoughts?

my opinion is that bruisers take no skill just like the mentioned champs in this threat

my only issue with black cleaver and wukong is that the rage passive becomes redundant if you get a trinity force, which is really strong on wukong... the percent shred is still really good tho

Triforce is really bad on Wukong. Yes he can proc it, but it's terrible compared to pure AD options.

Triforce is really bad on Wukong. Yes he can proc it, but it's terrible compared to pure AD options.

Wukong wins 67% of the games he gets a trinity force out on... cooldowns can be built low enough to get the most out of sheen and he has an auto attack modifier

It also amplifies his burst so idk why it's considered bad

My win rate with IE on Lulu is 100%. Item win rates are silly.

I'm not sure why you'd want to spend 3703g for a 30AD item on champion with a combined 5.3 AD ratio.

i've gotten it in a large number of games, and when it's a fairly commonly bought item on wukong it's a fairly reliable stat when you have a sheen your burst is pretty rediculous to be honest instead of attempting to do the math give it a try

No, he's right. You'll have better success with proper AD.

Trinity Force is being purchased by Wukongs who are already ahead (and therefore more likely to win).

If you buy trinity force you are basically committing to a laning phase only build.

If on the other hand you buy tiamat instead you'll get more burst (through the active and Wukongs crazy AD scaling) and a WAYYYYYY better team fight. The AD scaling on his ult is insane. Trinity force does almost nothing for Wukongs team fight.

Instead get another AD item like Last Whisper. The damage and gold efficiency are way, WAYYY better for Wukong. It's better both for killing people individually and for team fights.

The only thing Trinity is better for is wearing people down in lane with repeated clone disengages.

Then get Black Cleaver, it builds out of brutalizer which is amazing in the laning phase and it grinds down the whole teams armor with it's amazing synergy with Wukongs ult. It's laning phase and team fight are both better than triforce. Get that too? Get Blood Thirster - it can not be overstated how good Wukongs AD scaling is, especially on his ult.

If you're getting triforce your delaying these better items. Secondly, while I agree it's best to build Wukong with a heavy lean toward assassination, there's not enough room for Ravenous Hydra, Last Whisper, Black Cleaver, Blood Thirster and Triforce. Honestly, past Hydra, Last Whisper and Cleaver it's probably overkill: You will crush any back line with those three items alone: You may as well pick up a randuins and some tank stats past your 3rd full DPS item so you don't get annihilated just trying to get to their backline.

well what i like about triforce is that phage and sheen are actually valuable in stages of the game where you're trading and skirmishing some of the others don't have components that useful mana is pretty underrated for wukong especially when he just loses a lot of matchups early and has to farm with abilities and get out with W

I can already see Aatrox becoming an auto attacking machine gun with the new item 3143 . Hell, item 3071 might be useful in his build path now because of the movement speed boost from the rage passive, the 20% cdr, and the 400 extra health.

I'll disagree actually, attack speed is a universally awesome stat on basically everyone. It'll be really nice on team fighting bruisers like j4 and vi and stuff

I think the buff is really strong idk if niche is the word you're looking for

The reason why attack speed is bad on melees is because it's hard to stick to people. Randuin's has a 35% slow attached to it, that's cool. But 15-30% attack speed is what? Maybe one extra auto-attack during that 3 seconds slow?

might be two, maybe 3 with a lot of people around, maybe it's 60% atk speed. that's quite a bit especially on bruisers that run attack speed

For triforce users, it can quite effective in theory. Sticking power plus high dps makes bruisers very, very happy. Especially with the likes of Vi or J4.
