Mortal Reminder - Items - League of Legends

Sites like Elophant and LoLKing show only in how many games was the item present in the endgame build. Obviously it's rare to end the game with Executioner's Calling in the inventory. When you check for Mortal Reminder, however, you can see it's being built in 2.5% games. It's still a rarely purchased item, but not even in the top 10 of least popular ones.

Ohmwrecker remains the least popular item, purchased in about 0.10% of games. The preseason changes (or: lack thereof to the item itself) solidified its state as a perfect example of what an item without a purpose is. 3 years and still no idea what to do with that one.

i cant fathom the stupidity of the playerbase of this game.

2.5% buy rate and then you have people complaining about mundo on these boards. riot literally gave out an item that hard counters heal and sustain. and people dont get it, even when there is a champion carrying on the enemy team whos entire deal is regeneration and sustain.

its really hard right now to understand. every time i bought this item i felt like having a cazy impact on the game when up against someone like vlad, swain, and mundo. how are people not seing how broken this item is?

i mean seriously. the 10% nerf on grievous wounds is not an argument. it still cuts sustain allmost in half for 800 gold.

this thing should be bought in like 50% of the games, if its just to duel the enemy adc and cut his lifesteal in half.

I recently got a game where they had a Kench a Mundo and a Fiddle along with Yasuo and Tristana. Pretty much five Selfhealers.

Imediately in champion select I told them to get EC. We got a solid lead, but then we started to have trouble and couldn't win the teamfights. I continually repeated to get Executiners Callibng for the GW. No response. Exceprt At some point way late I got the question what's GW?

I finally got the bright idea that im not restricted to AP items and got EC on Soraka. The Teamfights emediately went in our favour and it was suddenly even possible to move Mundo's HP bar. Sadly I was too late, they had too much lead.

I think the problem with item builds has been always like that. Enemy team has 3 BotRK champions - "OK guys, who buys FH?" "What's FH"...

This game desperately needs built-in voice chat. Explaining things longer than one line of text would be awesome.

Voice chat is part of how to solve toxicity, actually. It adds accountability, feeling of responsibility, awareness that it's a real human being on the other side.

DotA and Counter-Strike have built-in voice chat.

Anyhow. VoIP for this game is a bad idea outside of NA where everyone speaks the same language pretty much. Can you imagine 10pugs in freaking europe trying to communicate? All the rage kids during the day, and the retarded stoners at night. All of them trying to communicate in Polish, Turkish, Greek, Romanian, Lybanese, what have you. 90% of them not knowing a knick of respectable english(because this is how EUNE works). Can you imagine a german dude screaming at your face whenever you do something wrong? Can you imagine the cyka bliat from CS:GO moving over to LoL games? Can you imagine all the cancerous 2euro microphones bursting your ear drums?

The only way for VoIP to somewhat work in LoL, would be if people were encouraged to group BEFORE joining games, and THEN to have the option to use voice-chat. For now, putting up with all the random shitters we have the missfortune of being matched with, is a thing I don't want to do.

Or just add an option to mute the specific player's VoIP and VoIP only. Same as if someone is flaming/annoying you in text chat, mute and move on.

I have my own experience with built-in voice chat. The only game where I actually saw it work was Guns of Icarus online, in other games, e.g. TF2 and DotA 2, I've much more often seen it abused than used.

Unless the players were forced to play with webcams, I honestly don't see how voice chat would add to feeling of responsibility. Hopefully someday I'll get proven wrong. :/

If by "abuse", you mean screwing around with soundboard/music, then yeah, it's probably going to "abused". Actually using voice comms isn't all that common, even in games that support it. People using it to verbally harass other players? Even less so. It's far more common on consoles, where as far as I'm aware they don't issue bans for negative behaviour at all.

By abuse I mean not just soundboard harassment, but also other ways to ~~piss off~~ fuck up players through audio chat. I agree that using voice in PC games isn't as common as on consoles, but perhaps that's another reason why reconsider adding it to LoL.

If that's not an acceptable definition, then I stand corrected. Second, I used the word "abuse" to stress the negative meaning. I hate the voice chat feature on Dota. It's too hard to understand muffled speech with people talking over eachother and often random music playing in the background of their audio. The noises can be so annoying, and sometimes people won't use the text chat just because the voice chat exists.

Yes, but frozen heart sucks. Randuins is at least decent, and it negates crit and reduces kitability.. F<3 is only kinda viable on ryze, and sorta necessary for Nasus... Maybe rammus Idk.

Its pick rate hasn't changed a bit. It's just as purposeless as before. The turret changes have merely crossed out any legitimate excuses to buy it, it's being bought purely as a show-off item "I can win this game with an Ohmwrecker".

I build Ohmwrecker when I'm a jungler and fed beyond belief. But it's really so I can dive a 1v3 under a turret, get a triple kill and come out alive.

I think part of the problem is a lot of people are still overwhelmed by the total rework of ADC itemization, so they are sticking to the "recommended" items more than they would have in the past.

As far as I know, Executioners Calling is not in any ADC's recommended build path, as it's more of a "situational" item.

As people get more used to the new items they'll start to learn how to itemize versus certain champions rather than building off the cookie cutter "recommended" items page.

Which isn't happening. I'm chilling watching Qtp's stream right now(at the time I write this post) and he's still on about how shitty those items are and builds full crit.

People forget that it's a personal opinion no matter how good of a player one is, but it'll be hard for bronzers to get their heads out of their asses, given he has like 15k people watching right now. It increases geometrically; those 15k will go on games and spread their stupidity to 9 more people each, and those 135k will spread it to more games.

End result being Boards filled with stupidity and NA eating bovine genitalia at ESL. Meanwhile fanboys are on and on about what a powerhouse TSM is going to be in the NA scene, ayyy lmao.

Truth be told this is all the result of Riot's ineptitude and worst game-health in the history of LoL ...so far.

Ohmwrecker is such a cool item. I shit you not my favorite items list includes both item 3123 and item 3056 . I don't them everygame, simply because there is no need for them in everygame. I used to love having a support build Ohmwrecker in a heavy dive comp to deactivate nexus turrets or inhib turrets.

But now that Turrets throw limp noodles, it's nothing really important. However Executioner's is a bad ass item that is so undervalued. Too bad I prefer AP champions.

I built it on Nasus for the majority of S5, but with the season changes, weaker turrets, and less mobility I might trade it back for Frozen Heart.

If turrets are buffed to an appropriate level then it'll have a good spot. As long as turrets continue to tickle for damage, Ohmwrecker won't be needed in any game. All you have to do is buff Turret damage and maybe arrange it's AI a bit more and bam. Ohmwrecker is viable again.

The actually disturbing part about it is that it is being built less and less from one day to the next.
