Well lets see hmmm. 0 armot aside from shoes - 1 strike Only 3 cheap completed items vs 4 expensive ones - strike 2 You built half damage, half resistance, making you not great at either and medicore at both - strike 3
Bonus round: you bought EC when what you needed was burst to counter his healing, you didnt finish any damage item (except black cleaver) and graves had IE, PD and BT 3 major ADC items.

Niyumi1 votesHe was stacking lifesteal, so I figured building an EC would stop him from relying on lifesteal -- but, you know, while spellvamp is toxic, lifesteal is TOTALLY HEALTHY when you can't even counterbuild it.
inhumanlol1 votesI wouldn't have countered Lifesteal it with grievous woulds. He has ~35% + lifesteal/heal even if reduced it is ~20 lifesteal/heal. Not to forget his 2 items PD and DD reduce your damage output by a lot.
You have 30 Armor going against Caster AD champ ( with 50% crit + 300 AD) .
psst. first hit for applying Grievous would or CC damage would have been cancelled due to PD, so his first AA hit might have done 750 damage + 150 lifesteal + 110 heal. ( now you can apply 15% damage reduction to you, still not enough, his 2nd shot will still trigger the same before you can touch him)

graves, despite his weird reload mechanics...is still a marksman. he has carry DPS. nothing beats that in an extended trade.
think of it this way. if you dont burst down graves you will lose almost all, all ins because of the sustained damage.
