IF You Support, this is What You Can Expect from ADCs
More than half of all ADC's will never let you use relic shield. And even if they do, their DPS will likely go so far off the scale that waves will just be deleted by them before you have a chance to so much as land one auto. The ones that do let you use it will let you so long as it's the laning phase; otherwise, may as well forget ever being able to use it beyond laning.
If you pick a champion with a hook, you are expected to throw hooks at the enemies whenever it is ready. You'll be hated if you don't spam your hooks. You'll be hated if you miss your hooks or hit minions with it. Because fuck waiting for an enemy to move out of position for that moment where you know you'll land it, have the resources to land it, and can score your ADC a secure kill.
Many ADC's you encounter hate being supported by him regardless of how good he is played. They hate him because for years ADC's have been allowed to feel like the all important damage gods of bot lane and they feel threatened by him. He takes their expectations of the support spoon feeding them kills and shatters the window with them. ADC's also generally do not understand how his ultimate works. It's basically a relic shield, but for champions instead of minions. And like relic shield, ADC's don't seem to understand that Pyke executing an enemy with his ultimate gets everyone involved kill gold.
Approximately half of all ADC's you encounter will likely spam abilities on minions to try and push and farm. They'll quickly burn out their mana, making it impossible for you to engage the enemy because your reliable source of damage is being operated by an ignorant player. Ironically, using abilities on waves does not have a positve impact on their farm; it usually generates the opposite effect in which the ability-spamming ADC ends up with significantly less farm than the ones who patiently last hit minions with basic attacks.
ADC's do not grasp the concept of their support's cool downs. They expect everything you have at your disposal to be ready on demand if it isn't an ultimate (and that's only because Riot implemented the nifty visible ult cool down timer for all allies; used to be "why didn't you ult them?!" during many, many fights). They do not understand that you playing passive is you making sure that the ADC isn't instantly detonated by the enemy by having your emergency kit that is your QWE ready for when and if the enemy tries to pull something (sometimes literally).
You will sometimes find yourself with a player who was filled ADC. Someone who rarely if ever plays the role and just rolls with it. I'd honestly dodge queues if your ADC is filled unless they pick an easy to play ADC. If your filled ADC does not pick
or
and they inform the team they do not ADC then they are trolling you either by lying or by locking in a mechanically difficult champion they've rarely if ever before played.
And, finally, ADC mains generally think themselves the kings and queens of bottom lane and, by extension, the game. Trade secret. They aren't. We support mains allow them to think that while we snicker to ourselves. But, to be honest, they're really working for the support. The support is the one who calls the shots. Why do you think supports are "shot callers". Support is the real boss of bot lane.
