Why am i being matched with golds and silvers in my normals?

All of a sudden my normal games have started making sense and are easier to carry. Im playing with more gold banners on my team. Wtf? Im still b3? Why the sudden change?

I don't even play ranked (not after my abysmall placements last year) and I'm matched with Gold/Plat/Diamond players. I cri errytiem

Normal MMR and Ranked MMR are different.

Yea. But why the sudden change. I went from seeing a silver banner every once and a while to seeing gold all the time and even multiple silvers, once a plat.

maybe just random premades in norms.

Normal MMR is different to ranked MMR

Normal mmr and ranked mmr are completely separate. It's as Slythion says, play enough norms and unranked are placed with plats/diamonds.
