League is a highly competitive game At what point do we trade off longer queue times, for essentially having everyone playing at their prime?

see you say that, but without auto-fill (much less cutting down to one role) you'd wind up with some ques averaging 15ish minutes. This isn't a hypothetical either. Riot tried no auto-fill while making people select two possible positions, and that was the result. Imagine que times if you couldn't even get put into a secondary postion?

Are you implying that ppl get their second role which causes lower quality games ?

What does that mean, I pick always ADC>MID and I get Midlane like once per 3 months or something like that, I dont know what is like to be autofilled, maybe the problem is that too many ppl wants to play the same popular and strong roles and that's why second role is needed.

And by "prime" you mean "hopefully this dude plays well and isn't having a bad day"? Even if you play your main every single game it doesn't mean you will be playing at your best every single game.
