Defensive items do their job.

I just went 13/5/5 with full tank Nautilus. Sunfire, Thornmail, Frozen Heart, Adaptive Helm, Merc Treads. My last item probably would have been Steraks.

I soaked up 32k damage front lining for my team while dishing out 24k damage.

With all 5 of them focusing me (got caught out trying to ward baron lol) it still took them 7 seconds to kill me. 7 seconds is a long fucking time!

My runes are Aftershock, Shield Bash, Conditioning, Overgrowth, Triumph, Tenacity.

I say again, damage isn't too high. You people just choose to forego defensive items because you don't want to miss out on damage. The same damage that took 5 champions 7 seconds to kill 1 champ.

I use these same runes for J4, Vi, Sion, Skarner, Shen, Ornn, Rakan. Same resolve tree for Riven but I take Transcendence and Gathering Storm Secondary.

DAMAGE ISN'T TOO HIGH! Go look at your match history and check out your builds. If you have less than 3k health, 150 armor and 100 mr, you're supposed to get blown up!
