I have no proof

There is no way to prove that the person playing Talon queued for jungle, originally had Rammus, asked me who I intended to play mid (I had last pick) so I highlighted Talon. He then picks Talon and says, "I'm going to feed mid." Changed his summoner 11 to summoner 1 , was verbally abusive in champion select chat.

When game starts, he immediately runs into mid tower, takes 3 tower shots then runs into enemy jungle. The entire time during in-game chat, he's the nicest most positive guy ever. "We can still win." "Don't give up guys, we got this." "Stay positive, game isn't over yet." "We're late game champs, we'll make a comeback." etc etc

The other 3 teammates flamed him and they'll probably be banned since he said he was going to report them. I've learned my lesson from flaming players like this because that's how I got permabanned. But this guy, this guy will see 0 consequences for his actions just because he didn't say anything bad during in-game chat. Pre-game and post-game chat toxic, in-game chat he's a perfect example of what a summoner should be.

When my 1st account got banned due to flaming people like this, I got all negative feedback from the boards. Now here I am, reformed, not flaming, account in perfect standing (I get all my loot, honored most matches, PBE access, gifted for attitude and play, etc) asking... WHY HASN'T RIOT IMPLEMENTED A WAY TO DEAL WITH THIS SHIT YET!?

U can prove tho. When u open replay, during loading screen players are sorted by lane. Top, Jungle, Mid, Adc, Support. But naming and shaming is not allowed, report after game and move on.

You can report from outside games by filing a support ticket, there just isn't a dedicated "Report Player" option.

Select "I have a Question about League of Legends/Riot Games" then under Categories select "Games and Features: General Questions" and use the Description box to tell them what happened.

You'll get an email saying it'll be forwarded to the appropriate team and a follow up saying they'll look into it, that they can't tell you what (if any) actions are taken, and a reminder to use the post-game report feature (I know, it doesn't help when you don't even get into the game).

Also, Riot does record pre/post game chat. It just doesn't get included in chat logs due to technical issues.

Hey Radiant, I've edited out the match history link because name & shaming/reporting isn't allowed on the boards per the Universal Rules. I understand your frustration with these sorts of players, as I've had to deal with them just the same, but we should rely on the post-game reporting as much as we can.

If you need to report a chronic inter that the system is not catching, I recommend you submit a Support Ticket under the category I have a question > Game & Features > General Questions.

If you have questions or concerns about this action please visit us in the Moderation Discord here.

Don't name and shame on the boards. It's not OK because you could start a witch hunt.

Submit a support ticket

EDIT: AJSStarhiker beat me to it.

Isnt it funny that getting annoyed is acknowledged with backlash and account banning but trolling is literally nothing?

Yes there is. The load-in screen shows where people queued for. Even if they change during champ select they are still showed in the load-in for their original role.

while it's true they record pre and post game chat, why not make their jobs easier, by simply snapping a screen capture of the convo and pasting it into a photo sharing site.

General Esdeath 6/19/2017, 6:09:31 PM2 votes

I screencap these and save them so I can send them in tickets later if I need to.

after reading this, im very annoyed that riot is just lazy. it's better for them to say something than to continue to do what they are currently doing, which is remaining silent.

What I find also even more shocking is that riot hasn't tweaked their punishment system to include post and pre game chat.. they claim that it's included, but ONLY in manual reviews on stuff like Intentional feeding. If it was included, Reports for chat restriction would have the chat included in them.. since it does NOT include this, it's not included in the computer triggered review.

I literally just had a player with a name of "kill the blacks" that I had to report..

When people try to pull crap like this I take a screenshot of the chat in the pregame lobby and then open up a support ticket. Riot does have access to pre-game and post-game chat but it simply isn't checked by the automated system.

Wonder if it is the same guy I ran into. He queued as jungle then just ignored lanes, towers, team fights, etc. In chat he kept saying "we still got this" and "just wait till late game"...even when they were knocking down our nexus turrets while he farmed jungle, kept saying "we got this". I'm pretty sure he was still saying it as the Nexus was exploding... I'm not even sure if I reported him as none of the categories seemed to fit.

Like I'll agree with you that's really fucked up, but in someways, it's kind of hilarious. Js >.>

Cosnirak6/19/2017, 5:38:40 PM1 votes

There's no reason you can't report him. Even in the post game screen you can report him for griefing and explain why in the text box. Riot doesn't ignore that stuff.

Elikain6/19/2017, 5:50:39 PM1 votes

then picks Talon and says, "I'm going to feed mid."

So he did say he was going to feed mid. Pre game, in-game and post game chat is recorded for a game i believe. He also was jungle, replaced Smite with something else and then went mid to feed his ass off. Yea, there's plenty of evidence against him. People aren't exclusively punished based on their chat logs alone.

Just look at his match history. Most recent of his games are Jungle Rammus where he basically feeds his ass off, the same as his Talon game. I don't know what this guy's deal is but his account isn't spotless. Also that 4/14 jungle Shaco. Yea, i wouldn't worry about him. He's headed in one direction.

This is why I think in some cases that name shaming should be allowed if there caught on the replays. If you put the name out there then eventually other people would be able to speak up and say he did this in their games too. When you think about it the majority of the time someone is banned for inting is when they're famous.

ChaosThief6/19/2017, 9:39:23 PM1 votes

Keep in mind you can be banned for more than just what you say. Also, Riot does have access to pre and post game logs, so anything said during that time can still be used against him.

You'd have to go through the hassle of reporting him through support, but there's still a chance to punish him.

Lil UwUzi Vert 6/19/2017, 9:44:16 PM1 votes

What's wrong with naming and shaming? if someone was an asshole and ruined other people's games, why can't he be named?

Autrah Fang6/19/2017, 9:54:38 PM1 votes

best way to deal with this is take a screenshot of the pre- and post-game chat and then send in a support ticket with said screenshots attached. then you just hope they punish him :/

i'm sorry that he did this, but that's the only way to attempt to give him punishment for his chat. you can also report for inting in the post-game lobby and hope that sticks as well

Edit: i just read the rest of the replies, and there a few people giving you this exact info. apologies :)

Just a tip, screenshot champ select if you see something like that.

EVEN if they dodge, you can send the screenshot to Riot support, and they can act on it if they find data that matches it. I've seen a few bans drop from that (Oh the glory days of when there were tons of Lyte Smites on the forums).
