10 Bans might force riot to change kits that are fundamentally toxic to play against.

If we get 10 bans does anyone in the 70% of the player base in bronze and silver ever expect to ever see things like Fizz Zed Fiora ?

My hope is when the same slew of champions is universally banned, Riot might realize that a huge portion of their customers view these kits as unfun to play against. I have always said how obnoxious something is to play AGAINST should carry more weight than how something is to play. One person plays the champ. 5 people have to play against it.

I agree that 10 bans is going to be great for the fun of the game, but I don't agree with this method of argument; saying it should be more important that it is unfun against than fun as. If we use that form of argument to justify changes then it is possible to end up with more champions that lost their fun mechanics just because people found them frustrating to play against.

Not saying that unfun things shouldn't be addressed, just saying that we need to be careful about how we do it.

Plenty of champions 'exist' which i believe could be considered fun because they are flowsome but not overpowered such as Alistar Ashe Jinx Kindred Sona Xayah Poppy as a few examples of champions who do not have some insane mechanic or is tied to a 'fun' type of mini game that leads the pathway of how to play them and following it lets them get the 'excuse' of a gimmick unique to them (Such as Kindred's stacks 'empower' her damage and will now be leaning towards empowering her abilities, while Ashe works around using crit to apply enhanced damage and slow enemies and Xayah definitely is one of the few champions that feel actually 'right' and not overpowered, she has a very 'simple' kit with nothing gamebreaking and she just works because awareness is a good way to counterplay her then being stuck with the good old play champion X to counter champion A logic (which isn't possible in blind mode and draft 'alternates' the picks so picking a counter does not work as easily)

Hell, Alistar may seem boring to some people but i find him alot more fun then playing the hook game in my opinion, because your a bull who does not take no bully tactics lightly and will gladly headbutt you, knock you up and harass you to run away or get stun his 'empowered auto ability'. Plenty of times whenever i play support and go alistar, as long as my team isn't feeding, i end up denying enemy junglers, blocking 'hooks' and then just countering with my own CC and disrupt the enemy ADC (sometimes throwing him right at my own ADC buddy, under our turret if i'm lucky enough on them being 'silly' enough to hug turret.

The main issue is how the 'power' between what the champion can do, the kind of damage it can dish out and the itemization it can 'exploit the hell out of' and get away with things is even PROPERLY DISTRIBUTED.

Which unhealthy mooks like LeeSin Hecarim Jayce Heimerdinger Pantheon are able to get super tankie with with rather easy 'tank itemization pick ups'(For the donger its all that EZ health/AP pick ups with barely a single issue on mana efficency and can still be strong as heck without any mandatory CDR for him with when he does he becomes such a damage bully on anything that isn't a tank). With pantheon and jayce they both get relatively easy harass gimmicks, all ins and just wipe an opponent out, especially in the early game but little to no 'penalty measures' to lock them up either.

...and i'm sure anyone agrees with on Lee and Hecarim they just go high tank with 1 damage item like a item 3078 or item 3071 and can easily charge into any enemy, even 'full tanks' and just rip thru them like they don't even care since they are so pudgie and so high on damage that they can just melt things (doesn't help that i even feel like an item like item 3078 needs a 'penalty' to the spell blade ability to not allow repeated spams of insane damage just because of particular scum champions exploiting it more then champions who use it more as a option then a one trick pony item.

Agreed, abuse cases with low risk high reward need to be dealt with.

Good analysis, I have nothing further to add here.

Honestly, I think it depends. RIOT might just decide that its ok for some champs to be perma-banned in low elo. The introduction of 10 bans is likely to introduce a new meta that changes based on the tier you play at. Some champs are banned in bronze but not in plat etc. I see them accepting this as it ads a bit of diversity to the champ roster depending on the level of play. This hits one-tricks who might need a champ to get through an elo that their champ is always banned in but honestly they could stand to learn something else instead of playing the same thing over and over.

What? eliminating bans would force them to change kits. Adding bans encourages them to ignore broken champs.

The alternative solution is that when each player is equally responsible for the banning of toxic champions, that makes none of them responsible, and each player will only ban Urgot.

Bronze and Silver trash can cry about whatever they want. Game isn't balanced around trash who don't know how to play properly. You can call them toxic if that makes you feel better. Doesn't change the fact they're balanced, or trash (in Zed's case).

You know, you don't have to be aggressive about it.

It's annoying to see the same shitpost over and over.

I just tune it out, take it in stride, or joke about it most of the time.

I rarely see the point in rank shaming. It more just strengthens the stereotype of high rank players being elitist jackasses than it does make low elo players trash.

At this point, I honestly don't mind it. Some people won't be satisfied unless Zed is quite literally made into a caster minion. Every time he comes up people act like his ult doesn't scream "THROW HARD CC RIGHT BEHIND YOU BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE I'M GONNA BE!!!!!".

He also falls off very hard by late game if he doesn't pop off, making him a "win lane, lose game" sort of guy. But because low elos only care about the lane, they think he's super strong. Only time I'm worried about Zed is when he's on my team.
