To the Rioter in charge of the Syndra R buffs, please do read this one.

Buffing her R for 0/5/10 damage per sphere is the laziest and worst direction you can take for her, and as a 1.5 millions points Syndra main i assure you there is no need for a discussion here.

Her main problems are:

  • Transcendent has nothing to offer for the entirety of the early game.
  • W's damage and slow are too low for how hard to hit/easy to miss the skillshot itself is. Maxing it also gives us worse damage than maxing E until rank 5 since it has lower base.

Since you want to keep it low, just tweak her W numbers for it to be more rewarding to hit and max, something like "90-145-190-235-280 + 80%" and make its Transcendent bonus be "add 10% scaling and convert 20% of the spell damage to true damage". This way we'll get a stronger W, no R changes and the W buffs you planned for her now instead.

Please.

They did the same with Karma, despite Karma Mains hating the Change. So have fun I guess.

How to make Syndra strong in 2 steps :

  • Fix her bugs
  • Do nothing to her dmg.

Can they just fix her bugs please?

Yea, I understand syndra is pretty weak rn but the last thing I want buffed is her ultimate, it's the ability that has the least counterplay and already if she has 3 spheres out and is fed can literally just press R on a squishy and kill them. Perhaps a change I would like to see is each rank of an ability ramps up the transcendent bonus, such as rank 1 of syndra Q it does 3% bonus damage, rank 2 it does 6% bonus damage, and so on until it maxes out at max rank. Make her passive a bit more useful earlier into the game and let her get some sort of bonus off it without having to fully max the ability. E width increases with rank, R range increases with rank, and amount of true damage on W increases with rank, I feel like that would be a pretty good buff to Syndra without changing much of her press R one shot late game.

Can you explain to me on which galatic brain fart did you write "Transcendent don't give early game power" when the goal of this passive is to give benefits at later level? Like did you complain about a passive being about scaling and not early game? Is it like complaining that Tristana passive does almost nothing for her in the first level? It is the whole point. It is like saying that a fucking heal speal don't deal damage, like, of course, it isn't the purpose?

Like idc about the rest since it is another topic but like, you first point is so fucking dumb I don't even know what to tell you. It is like playing Urgot and saying to the dude "Urgot passive don't give him any heal", well no shit.

With her passive though, I feel she's not meant to be too strong early game. Like, they want her to be a late game champion who has to set up then for an utter decimation if she hits her spells.

I don't know what kind of buff she'd need though because she isn't going to be able to get to level 18 for all her abilities to be upgraded in the majority of games.

Her W a hard spell to hit? Unless you take so long throw it and allow your enemies to exit the range of the ability, it's actually pretty difficult to fail that one since the launch animation is rather fast and the aoe range of the spell is ridiculously big.

how hard to hit/easy to miss the skillshot itself is

in what world is this a hard skillshot tho

Hmmm ok wait so I'm not a huge Syndra player, but I want to make sure I got the W concerns correct.

You are saying that it doesn't do enough because it's easy to miss, so it should do a lot more when it hits. However, doesn't that just lead to an issue where you can just keep throwing W until something connects and then lay into your opponent? That's the same kind of issue Zoe has.

It also assumes you're missing your W's all the time, and Syndra is a skill shot based champion minus the R. Is the complaint that it doesn't do enough damage? If it's just too buff the early game the easiest way is increased wave clear because you have a safer time reaching mid to late.

I 100% agree that buffing the Ult is the wrong way to go. Most likely just for worlds since the Pro's love their reliable instant damage moves. But I personally have never had trouble landing W. My issues with W lie with its pick up radius. If anything I would say Syndra needs a better passive update like she was teased to be getting along time ago. If they wanted to help Syndra I wouldn't mind the W damage bonus damage for the amount of shields that make her burst irreverent (even though it comes online at level 18) but Movement speed and Mana are to way to go.

Her passive is so outdated. There are champions that exist with 'at max rank (or rank 5) Y ability gains X feature'. It needs to be reworked with those passives as secondary passives on each ability.

Maybe like gaining magic pen per level? As an attribution to her magical arts transcending traditional or modern methods.

Nah, this is pre-Worlds patch and pros don't like unreliable champions/spells so here you are.
