Kha'Zix does not need a W buff

If you're going to make him not worthless, don't give him a 20 hp heal at level 1, which slowly reduces to only a 5 more heal than live.

Maybe you should consider that he is arguably one of the worst assassins right now considering being within a mile of any ally (including towers) reduces your damage by 90% and the fact that evolving Q (your primary damage source) gives literally nothing if they are not isolated, which is entirely reliant on the enemy not being a complete idiot.

It actually reduces to an increase of 0, increasing to 165 at max is a typo, since the heal increases at a flat 25 per level, instead of 30 per level. This is the new scaling: 60/85/110/135/160. This is the old scaling: 40/70/100/130/160.

I agree though, Kha needs a LOT of help right now. Ideally, they should revert him to what he was on release and balance his numbers from there, because that was when he was at his healthiest (he may have been really, really strong, but the mechanics he had then were much more balanceable than how he is now).

I agree, but I think you will agree with me when I say RIOT won't revert him.

Of course Because that would be simple and effective

I mean, it doesn't really give him what it should. I don't want him to become a viable pick in his current state. I want some actual decision making. I want a reason to evolve my R or my W before level 16. Give him some actual synergy in his abilities. Make him an interesting champion rather than just giving some number buffs.

actually Khazik's biggest problem is that he dies to fast in the jungler. This change is gonna help him out alot, most Khas alrdy max Spikes first anyway. Your downplaying this change alot.

Uhh...no they don't?

I play Kha a lot in the jungle, and I know for damn sure I don't max that first. Also, there is no "Change", they're just taking away parts of his scaling heal to buff his early heal. As we all know, if you take a sausage and cut it in half, and then put the two halves together, you still have ONE FULL SAUSAGE. Only difference is, there's a line in the middle where you split the sausage. As a side note, I'm really craving sausages right now.

Kha is such a disappointment now

All of his evolves have been nerfed to the point that they really don't even matter

R lost its damage reduction, W only helps for fighting multiple people, since neither the heal nor the damage goes up if he hits the same target with multiple shots, Q is beyond useless unless they go brain dead and decide to 1v1 you. E is always has been, but that evolve brings neither more damage or lower CD, its just allows for resets.

Kha desperately needs his evolved Q to do something against targets that aren't isolated, because right now its fucking terrible

I think he could use an increase on his base armor to help him jungle too.

They need to revert the 2 second delay between Ultimate casts now because the entire reason they did so was due to the damage reduction he once had while ulting. Given they removed the damage reduction, their original purpose for the 2 second cooldown between casts is no longer relevant, hence they need to revert said nerf.

IIRC Wasn't Kha released near the time BC could stack, and that's why everybody called OP? The problem right now is that he is useless in teamfights because of his isolation damage being lost. Unlike Zed or LB, he also only has one way of going in, and unless he picks up a kill, he almost always dies, unless he isn't focused and can E out. And that is perfect in his design. The other example of this type of assasin is Talon. BUT, simply because he can effectively mid lane, he outclasses Kha. Kha can only be picked in jungle , but new jungle is a lot more accustomed to tanks now, with Gromp and Cinderhulk.

The things that need work are his W, R and passive.

The evolution system should just be stuck into his passive, and his R should be buffed. 80 second CD + 100 mana for 1 x2 second stealth that only grants MS and no collision between units is pretty pathetic. Only upside is his passive comes back up. I see it being somewhat better when he evolves it, but adding an extra 4 seconds doesn't add a new aspect to his ability

To buff R: Make it so when you ult, isolation is negated and you do full damage on Q for 6 seconds. Now he can use his ult for something else rather than escaping/chasing. Using his ult in teamfights is actually meaningful, because now it's more of an all in tool, you miss your chance, you don't do your job as an assassin. Reduce CD on his ult to 70 seconds all ranks, and 100/90/80 mana cost. When evolved, how about creating an illusion of himself for 1 second running towards a random direction? Kind of like LB's passive. But, the number of times he can stealth doesn't increase, only duration.

To buff W: Make it go through units, simple. If he hits a unit and is near it, he still get's healed. This way, you can move him out of jungle, and into mid, a more suitable place for assassins. Change it from 100% Bonus AD Scaling to 0.7 AD, and remove 20% monster damage.

To buff Passive: Well let's see. For one, the scaling should be removed, because there is no item involved with AP that Kha buys, and if you say Trinity, you are probably the same guy who buys IE on Talon and Zed. Instead, let his passive reset on stealth plus Isolated Q's, but it only applies 50% damage and no slow if used on the same target within 4 seconds. So, it means if you get caught out, you die a lot quicker, instead of having it drag out into a chase, which should be the case with assassins. Also, he can use his passive in mid lane without having to go in bush or out of vision, Let it still deal magic damage, but add bonus AD scaling maybe?

He needs to be turned into a laner. Jungle right now belongs to tanks, and there is no way to make a balance between the two without making one useless, because it will always be the decision of picking one over the other.

All of this isn't needed tbh. You're killing a lot of interaction and it all really isn't necessary. Really, to be turned into an effective laner is for his passive to have a .5 or .7 AD scaling (the AP scaling can stay because there's nothing wrong with it and there would at least be an incentive for TF) and for his passive to apply onto every spell. His passive also should work on a charge-up system: For every 1 second you are unseen by an enemy, gain 1 stack of Unseen Threat (up to a cap of 2; both stacks can be used at once). Upon applying that damage, every spell deals bonus damage equal a fourth of the amount of damage that one stack of Unseen Threat would deal for 1 second. What this would do is force Kha'Zix to turn his playstyle into a more hit-and-run assassin rather than a reset-based assassin, though however still being able to reset his skills, but that's not the core of his gameplay. He would have to make sure he starts completely unseen, E in, proccing his passive, allowing his combo to go out, but quickly stealthing to gain back the charges of his passive. He would then have to weave the combo in along with a third evolution or risk losing damage and probably dying because of it.

Adding extra damage on passive won't fix his laning, especially if he is meant to be played mid, as a top laner he would fail because his team will lose a spot for a Bruiser (Nasus, Irelia, Wukong). Many AD's who play mid have a reliable way of getting in and out, because if they couldn't get out, they would lose every single trade. Kha has to either decide to engage or disengage with his E, therefore he suffers no matter which way you put it.

If you stand by your minions, you:

Reduce Q damage Don't get hit by W

So you basically take out about 40% of his damage out right there, and Xerath, Ahri, Syndra are just some examples of mages who can easily out trade him and punish him horribly.

I also don't understand how those changes take out interaction? If you mean that taking out his jungling takes out his interaction, you are mistaken. With jungle as it is now, anything other than tanks fighters or Fiddlesicks are considered wastes. Also, if anything, the changes add interaction. His ultimate with the illusions will be a lot more neat looking and feeling.

Interaction is killed through changes like "isolation is negated and he deals full damage for 6 seconds". Isolation is his niche. There isn't a need for there to be bonus damage that high unless the enemy made a mistake, which also concerns my second point. Xerath, Ahri, and Syndra can all be avoided to an extent (or at least have their damage minimized) through juking or dodging out skillshots. This is why Kha'Zix's high damage has to be restrained by several layers because it is a) with very little costs and cooldown; allowing it to be spammed , and b) targeted, so there is no chance to avoid or dodge it with a few exceptions. So in truth, the AP mid laners have to punish Kha'Zix early because he gets crazy strong if they don't, so it's only fair that mid laners have an advantage during the laning phase because they during mid-game, when people tend to be more isolated, Kha'Zix can get big.

To address his laning: His laning isn't supposed to be superb or anything like that. imho, he shouldn't have the best laning phase just by simply having power in his kit, but by the mistakes the enemies make and the plays that your team makes; he needs his team first, he can shine later.

However, I do not think that Kha'zix or his laning phase is perfect, but I feel that making it so that killing some parts of interaction isn't really the right way to go about it. Things like: unseen threat resets on isolated Q's when his ult is made to allow him to weave in his passive auto attacks. Also, his W having trouble with hitting things isn't really all that much of a problem, a lot of skillshots suffer that same problem. His ult doesn't really need an illusion thing, although it would be cool, and I don't necessarily disagree with it. Maybe instead of walking in a random direction, it keeps walking in the same direction so it would be hard to tell if Kha stealthed or is actually walking in that same direction?

A big issue I see with the bug is Riot has tried to make all 4 evolutions equal in power, but in reality 3/4 will always be better. I would like to see an isolation range reduction, but I wouldn't mind seeing his stealth evolution getting some love. Right now it is literally pointless.

grLKQ9ma0o1 votes

His abilities lack interaction. There's no reason to evolve R at all, and his W is basically worthless now except as a late form of "have a little bit of waveclear and a tiny bit of extra utility and hope it's enough". Give his W and R something useful, for god's sake.
