People stopped complaing about the Veigar rework

I sort of liked the Veigar rework-ish, his stun was overpowered and I know I'll get downvoted to oblivion for saying that, but he had basically an instant stun that could hit an entire team if not trap them inside a box. While I think the only thing that really needed to be nerfed or even changed in general was that, they did much more than what was necessary and just nerfed his Q and I think his ult for no reason if I remember. His damage was fine, his stun was not.

And next, we nerf Taric's stun. It will now take 3 seconds to hit it's target and stun them for .03 second.

I was really irritated when they 'reworked' Veigar. He's been my favorite champion ever since I started playing LoL and what they did to him was just disgusting. His stun used to be the best non-ultimate spell in the game, there's really no disputing that. I understood Riot's stance on not buffing Veigar so long as that stun was the way it was, but Event Horizon was Veigar's skillcap. A good stun can win a fight, but a great stun can win the game.

Now Veigar is easy to play, and still garbage. His stun can be sidestepped by anyone paying attention and is no longer the massive zone-controlling threat it once was. Catching someone inside a cage is nowhere near as dangerous as locking down their frontline for 2.5 seconds, guaranteed.

Some people might think the .2 AP ratio nerf to his ultimate was nothing special, but it was worlds of difference. Veigar's big chance to win his lane was to get his opponent low at level 5, reach level 6, drop his stun and nuke them for an easy kill. Now that his stun has been nerfed and his R no longer hits as hard as it used to, Veigar just cant do that anymore. He cant defend himself with his stun, he STILL cant land his W, and his ult isnt the world-breaking destroyer of carries he needs it to be.

Honestly, reducing the delay time on his W was the only good thing to come from his rework. His Q is kind of cool, I guess. The projectile moves so fast that its pretty hard to dodge and you can farm pretty quickly with the double-hit addition. But combined with his other changes, its just not enough and his old point and click Q is arguably better in some situations.

The thing I really hate about the Veigar changes is how they called it a rework, when it was literally nothing but nerfs. Ult? Worse. Stun? Worse. W? Worse, because you can never land it. Q? Changed, not buffed. Passive is still garbage and just makes up for his atrocious mana costs.

0/10 rework, Riot. Do better. This is inexcusable.

People stopped complaining because we all came to an unwriten consensus that Veigar is now useless and lost hope for Rito fixing Veigar.

We pretty much accepted that they'll just lie to our faces on things. Going to quote something here from my ticket about Veigar: "Every feedback and comments our players post in our forums will greatly help us understand what needs to be done in order to make the proper changes on a certain champion." Alright. Let's see here. How many threads do you think it takes for them to notice they did something wrong? They said they felt right on the change because someone said it made him balanced. Those accounts... Played things like LeBlanc which the new Veigar had 0 ability to deal with. Even now I can't push myself to play it because I know no matter how good I do, I require my enemies to be stupid to kill them.

Stop making these threads it reminds me of how crap Veigar is now.

And it also reminds me of how many people defend him while maining other champions like katarina, leblanc, annie, and whatever. Hell, there are even a couple veigar mains in silver and low gold who seem to think he's good.

It's just depressing.
