Yasuo is in the worst balance state he's ever been in, and I still despise playing against him.

That's what we call a badly designed champ Riot.

Do you like playing against any champion?

No, quite seriously, is there any champion, aside from being matched against someone you brutally murder like playing Leblanc vs Mordekaiser, that you actually enjoy facing?

Now, personally speaking, I enjoy facing off against anything. I see it as a challenge to defeat my opponent. When I'm playing against someone that's particularly difficult for me, I view it the same way as I would if I was to, let's say, play Taki in Soul Calibur against someone like Astaroth or Nightmare. They have a massive range advantage and a lot of easy guard breaks, so I have to know what I'm doing or I'm fucked.

Same thing in League of Legends, except in a MOBA. I have to be aware of what my opponent will do, and I have to be aware of what I can and can't do against them.

I enjoy it either way. If I won, it usually means that either I'm the one who knew my mechanics better than my opponent, and that I outplayed them, or I worked better with my team to get around my mechanical disadvantage; if I lost, it usually means I need to improve.

So are you the kind of person who otherwise enjoys playing against champions, or are you using this as an excuse, even though you don't necessarily enjoy facing anything other than specific, handed-to-you-on-a-silver-platter matchups?

yes

and they arent named kalista or yasuo

JustMyBassCannon3 votes

Kalista; throw my skill shots where she will be dashing instead of where she stands. Hockey mentality.

Yasuo; punish him early on, don't let him land tornado post-6, don't pretend that Statikk Shiv doesn't give him a power spike on the level of any mage grabbing Rabadon's. Don't waste multiple spells on Wind Wall.

Who gets item 3089 first?

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

They wouldn't, but that wasn't the point. I'm not surprised the point went over your head.

Rabadon's grants a huge power spike on any mage. At the point that a mage is carrying Rabadon's, nobody is going to go all-in on them if they don't know they can come out either winning or alive.

You should have the same mentality facing Yasuo.

Lol there's tons upong tons of champions I don't mind facing.

I didn't say Yas is OP, that changes nothing about the fact he's fucking unenjoyable to play against, or even see him in a game.

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

"Don't mind facing." Not "Enjoy facing," but "don't mind facing."

And I said nothing about Yasuo being overpowered. I simply stated that I enjoy being challenged. Yasuo is a challenge with a different set of rules.

You don't enjoy facing him. Fantastic, you've stated your opinion. I enjoy facing him. I have also stated my opinion. I can't convince you that your opinion is wrong, and you can't convince me that my opinion is wrong; they are both biases based on our different personalities, mentalities and experiences.

What I did was point out that you're using an unfair measuring stick as a basis. Saying that he's bad design because you despise facing him, which conversely implies that you have to enjoy facing someone for it to be good design, yet not actually enjoying any face-off in general is basically saying everything is, at best, a working design if it's not a bad design.

You can't call something bad design based entirely on an opinion, especially when you're using such a skewed frame of mind.

You should try playing against Heimerdinger. Or Yorick

killd0zer1 votes

Heims ok, Yorick is another badly designed champion that has been acknowledged as being bad.

Seriously. I'll still ban him just so I don't have to deal with his dashing BS and random Japanese sounds he makes

I don't mind yasou, its just his fucking windwall.

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

Because it's so much worse than spell shields, regular shields, untargetability or resistance steroids.

Yasuo is not op. In fact he needs major buffs, one auto attack and 1/4 of his health is gone during laning phase.

You missed OP's entire point lol

He means that even if he's weak it's still very annoying to deal with and badly designed. (Oh boy i bought Shiv now I'm not behind anymore and will always crit. )

Maybe against a top laner, but in mid? Against mages?

SleepyLionCub2 votes

Yas isnt even that bad. Honestly he is pretty balanced, and a very unique champion overall.

I gotta admit that there are quite a few champs that could do with a bit of work before focusing on Yasuo. Though he may be seen as a problem child, there are still monsters out there that could do with some fixing way before him....
