the range nerf is a pretty huge nerf and rito has been known to intentionally dumpster champions rather than try to fix them so people are genuinely worried.

i think it's an interesting change and it could bring him to a place where he's less overpowered than his current state, but i can certainly see why people are upset.

It's a pretty big nerf, but the mana cost reduction also applies to the stacks I would assume.

So instead of 75/150/300/600/1200, it's 60/120/240/480/960 which is a pretty significant reduction, cus it's multiplicative.

The mana is nice, but it's not coming anywhere close to compensating for the range nerf. Range nerfs are huge.

I know it is, and I know he is. The thing is, when that guy complaining about Riot dumpstering champions and you bring up the mana cost buff, it makes it look like you're saying that the mana cost buff will do something to help him that is in any way comparable to the nerf, and it just isn't. Maybe you weren't trying to say that, but it looked like you were.

as far as trying to gap close and flee, kassawat is gimped but his ability to blink over wall pretty much remains unchanged I suppose

Patch 5.4 is looking to be the worst patch in recent memory. Quite a few champs being dumpster'd: Veig, Mord (maybe?), any champ that wanted to use stalkers blade that isn't lee, vi, and j4 (who is also getting nerfed), and now kass is being added to the list. Champ diversity takes a huge hit next patch.

Because the LCS meta is totally different from our meta. It requires tons of coordination, better decision making, and strong teamwork. Some champs are just better professionally than in SoloQ.

Seriously though, his scaling is good and if he gets some kills his mid-late game becomes really oppressive.

And given his massive range ult he has plenty of opportunities to jump on folks and clean up.

because people don't get that he's a cherry-picker champ. He isnt very reliable in teamfights, and I'd prefer he stay that way, personally.

if a few weak nerfs don't balance a champ, they Gut them and leave them there a while. Unless its LeeSin or Zed.

He is in an odd place. His ult hardly does anything for the stupid mana costs it requires, and on top of that his melee range makes it harder to farm.

Basically he is completely useless against anything that isnt a mage.

SO i guess this is a buff to mages... kidna? but its not really that big of one. Basically its a slap on the wrist of mobility heavy champions. A way for riot to go "WE ARE FIXING MOBILITY CREEP! LOOK AT KASSADIN NOW!" while Katarina, Zed, and Lee sin still dominate the playing field

He's not weak. The whole post is devoted to people who mistakenly believe that he's a weak champ, and get upset at the nerf. He's easily within the top 5 champions in the game atm.

Liss is strong but she hasn't been nerfed and she has point and click ult. Kass actually takes skill just to lane let alone gank.

Liss and Jarven are the only 2 champions with higher pick/ban in LCS

Liss is the best mid in the game, but ppl would rather complain about Zed

well as an adc main i dislike both champs simply from the mobility and point and click delete ability same with fiora and Vi, there's literally no counterplay to that playstyle, it forces teamclumping and hopes they can retaliate after the abilities are spent. Those skills are balanced on Malz and Warwick since they can be interrupted and they have to run up to you to use them, you have to kill/qss/zhonyas or just survive those types of ults on liss/zed/fiora/vi while they are dashing everywhere, doing massive karth levels aoe damage, or having damage prevention. I'd rather fight a fed kat cause atleast I know i can dash out of her ult range or pick her off if she can't shunpo in time.
