New Aatrox is extremely boring compared to old. Let me show you why.

New Aatrox has 1 way of killing people. His Q. His W probably will never kill anyone very often, and its just a way to land more Qs. His E doesn't kill anyone. His ult doesn't kill anyone. His entire new stupid kit is just about Q.

With old Aatrox, you could kill with auto attacks with or without blood price. OR you could kill someone with a dive, OR you could kill someone with a poke from his E...OR you could kill someone with AOE damage from his Ult.

New Aatrox is MIND NUMBINGLY uninteresting repetitive and boring. How the fuck does no one else see this?

I mean.... you could kill anyone with any part of his kit...... but at the end of the day his entire kit was to enable auto attacking....

Sure, and new kit kind of accentuates auto attacking too.... W has really low damage but is made to let you Q/Auto attack more. R is about auto attacking still. Q is also technically about auto attacking, because each Q is an auto attack reset. His Passive is about auto attacks (Increasing the range of).

how is his replacement kit good for auto attacking if his primary damage, his Q, is terrible while in melee range?

Because his Q is intended to keep people in his melee range with it's zones of damge, or they risk taking heavy damage. If he's on top of them and they start to run, they can either turn back to him and stay close, or keep going and run the risk of taking heavy damage. His abilities have more nuance than simply how much damage they deal.

Uhm no, he's not. He's supposed to be building AD. His ult is an auto-attack steroid. If he's "bad in melee range" you're doing something horribly wrong.

No it's not an AA steroid. It's an AD steroid. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't bother commenting. And you're not supposed to be building AD, his base stats are too bad to survive if you build AD.

No, they don't. Not anymore. He's super easy to deal with, and anyone with a stun can lock him out of his q's and cause it to go on CD leaving him defenseless. The q is super easy to avoid and telegraphed. Anyone with a dash can just avoid it and then punish him hard because of it. His kit is inherently bad and your view is short sighted.

That's kind of a fair point. I guess you have to decide if Deathbringer stance should be at the beginning or end of a combo. Could cast W while a target is in Mid Knockup Q combo, to bring them to you at the end of it, and finish with the auto attacks. Can't play him exactly like Riven. That much is true.

Or you could use the Knockup as just a deterrent and auto attack at close range so they can't get away while you are on R (If they move backwards they'll get knocked up).

I can see auto attack still being very important.

I think like Pyke.... Aatrox players are going to learn that the new meta is about timing/positioning/etc when expressing which order to skill/attack If you just use Q or E one way, you'll quickly find yourself feeding. If you vary the ways you use them, you'll become a high win rate player with climbing potential.

It can probably rotate around auto attacks if you want it to. Just gotta lure the fights into areas they cannot escape.

It wasn't. It was about creating the right situations. Engaging, diving backline, healing of of enemy champions that aren't your target just to stay alive as you move through a team fight. It was much more interesting and complex than you give it credit for.

I’m sorry but 9/10 old Aatrox would do a dive and then aa the person to death. He wasn’t really an outplay master you make him sound. It was more of a “oh I underestimated his life steal and damage as he stood there right clicking”. That’s why most people hated him, yi, tryndamere. They can all just right click away and unless you pay attention you underestimate their power. It’s amazing looking some times watching them slash through for after for. But it isn’t more interesting than weaving autos in between spell slinging.

Never said Aatrox can’t lose. I was just talking about visually. I understand he is your main and favorite champ but I wasn’t trying to offend you. Just giving my opinion on a visual aspect of a champ’s fighting style.
