Some champions are clearly stronger and better

This is subjective. But in 4 years of playing I have noticed that certain champions, even if their team loses, are usually ALWAYS a problem to deal with.

Tryndamere Darius DrMundo Rammus Evelynn Chogath MonkeyKing to name a few

It does change. Champs such as Fizz Poppy Zac used to always be a problem.

However, there are many champs who never really approach this level of being a problem. For example I never see Olaf or Renekton and think "well great, now I have to deal with this". And while Nasus can carry hard, there is so much time to deal with him and counter play that you don't go into the match already worried.

I think this game is no where close to be balanced because there are champions that clearly have stronger kits that that work well in more situations and with more team comps than others.

There used to be something called, "the renekton bar." It may have been a bit before your time, but he used to be the top laner everyone else was measured against because he was so strong. He would rush sunfire and still kill you in basically one rotation.

Did Renekton get directly nerfed out of his position or was it power creep?

TBH Olaf and Renekton were huge balance issues. I don't know exactly what it was with renekton though, I think it was mostly powercreep.
Gnar fucked up top lane for a while

Agreed. Some champions are just clearly more powerful than others and it annoys me.

For example, a 7/0 Orianna is nowhere near as much of a threat as a 3/4 MasterYi. Yeah ori can build full damage and instagib someone, but then your team collapses on her immobile robot butt and she dies. Yi can, if played right, easily take out at least 2 people before your team manages to kill him without even being ahead.

A 0-0 Ori is more scary than a 3-0 Yi cause that abomination called Ori has an extremenly spammable rotation with a crap ton of utility. The only way a feeding Yi is scary is if your team is -Garbage aka 90% of the playerbase -Has no instant CC. No yi isnt healthy but do not compare him to that shitty design Ori whom either dominates competitive or gets shit on by Azir/Xer/Syn.

Thta's such a bias opinion LOL Orianna will offer way more than Yi does to his team, and not only she can peel and use her utility to help their team mates, but she also burst very hard with a single rotation especially when fed. Legit, I have seen Oriannas almost killing a squishy with only Q W.

Danjeng2 votes

Well to be fair, that's only because Yi is strong as fuck now. Orianna does provide a lot more utility. An Ori will always be relevant no matter what even if she's 0/7, just by landing a single good ultimate. All Yi really does is damage. You wouldn't be saying the same thing if he wasn't meta.

You haven't seen them when they are meta.

Both of them would build full tank and still deal more dmg than most champions. Olaf Was the worst, you couldn't CC him and he would jjust plow 200km/h at your team with item 3800.

Renekton Literary got toa point when he was in every single game in Pro and regular games. He was a bully, tanky, sustained and late game.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Olaf, because every time I see him I definitely think "oh god, not this again."

Not sure the champions you mentioned are the most problematic/unhealthy atm. But yes, the game is completely flawed, and they aren't doing basically anything about it, since it was the same in November. Actually, it was even a bit better.

I can understand some of those like Trynda and wukong, they are fricking scary when having a good game.

But eve isnt so bad? O_O

I mean, she is rather immobile for an assassin and there is rather plenty of warning for when dealing with her and her early game is almost pitiful.

And you havent been around for all that long if you've never seen anyone mention the "renekton bar" or "end early or FF 20 deathmatch Nasus "

Olaf was also a monster for ages, was pretty much gutted hard for it and never really recovered.

Heck we even had Xin zhao rushing in and winning literally 1v5 on release, AP yi did too.

I ALWAYS see people complain about Darius but i have never in my entire league career had a problem with him post Jugg update. i don't know if it's because i actually got a normal IQ for a human beeing or not that i don't find him annoying besides level 1.

Chogath was complete shit for years until they reworked his ult & how his stacks worked.

Zac only became a problem after his rework, where it was decided giving Zac 3 knockups was a great idea.

Rammus & Mundo are both tanks that, scale into the late game. How good they are depends on how safe they are in the lane phase & at getting there & how strong they are against other tanks & if fighters/bruisers are viable.

Foxstep1 votes

Rammus is just fucking disgusting, so tanky while dealing so much damage but yea boards won’t ever agree on a tank being op. At least nowadays he’s kinda weak.

Renekton was a Problem last season and back then he was tops biggest abomination.
