games are won on matchmaking, you can dodge and heavily influence your climbing rate and how few games you have to play, but temp bans are awful.

While team comp can help, you can easily win with a team that doesn't seem likely to win. If there's no tank, I'm still gonna play Sona or Soraka, as they're my best champions and I'm not going to force my team to lose all because I played a tank support I'm not good at or with.
