If Nocturne applies Unspeakable Horror to a target on a Dusk Trail their cone of vision is reduced

Unspeakable Horror is his E Dusk Trail is the trail created by Duskbringer which is his Q

So on top of the regular fear it would reduce their vision range to around 550-675 and it slowly go down as the tether took effect

Thoughts?

Idea for his Q trail to allow him to go through walls: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/9JXeh9qe-allow-nocturne-to-go-through-walls-with-his-q-trail

Him being at a 47% winrate with only a 2% playrate is a shame.

Which is just unfathomable to me. When I first learned the jungle it was with Nocturne and now that I've learned his kit backwards and sideways I can pretty consistently do amazing. Or at the very least catch up even if I hit a rough patch. If his kit had the tiniest bit more utility, or if his ult rewarded him better for teamdiving like Yasuo's, he'd immediately be one of the strongest picks.

Well honestly it makes sense

His kit is a bunch of half baked ideas with a slew of random stats thrown in on top. He doesn't really do anything interesting or unique that other characters that fulfill his role in the jungle don't do.

Hey nocturne is one of my favorite champions... He was my first main and I leanred the jungle with him. I wouldn't actually pick him in ranked though... He simply isn't a good enough pick when compared to other junglers.

His passive is cool. Its just too weak. It only slightly enhances his jungle clear. Thats about it. His Q is good, but it could be better. His W is strange on a champion like him. I like it and all, but it doesn't really mesh with his other abilities and could be stronger. His E is imo his biggest flaw. It is simply far too weak for how hard it is to get of properly. His ult is okay. Once again I think it could be better.

Now I'm not saying all of these things need to be buffed. I'm just saying that when combined they don't equate to a solid champion.

What if his E applied a slight-moderate slow on first hit? Would kinda reduce its escape utility but improve his chase potential, which is what I feel Nocturne is all about.

And then when JarvanIV is nerfed due to the meta sheep crying. Pro players then finally realize how powerful vision denial is and Nocturne becomes fotm.

Then Riot proceeds to smash him with the nerf bat over 5 cycles of patches.

I'd rather play nocturne without any unnecessary buffs that make him stand out

im actually a huge nocturne fan. with the new jungle bullying squishier junglers, a monster dmg buff would be nice. say his Q does 20% more dmg to monsters, or maybe his passive can be on a shorter cooldown?

wouldnt want him to get a mega buff tho, because i do enjoy the fact he's one of my type of junglers that never gets banned. maybe upgrade the range of his ulti back to normal? or hell more passive attack speed from his W. just small buffs or QoL buffs but dont go overboard.

Nocturne is hands-down my favorite jungley champion, and also my favorite assassin. I would be overjoyed if Riot gave him a bit of love.

Being a Nocturne main I really enjoy all of these Nocturne suggestions on the boards recently. Nocturne is by no means weak hes just a niche pick. Everything I have seen on the board so far would make him way more reliable than he is now and throw in some neat new mechanics

Would be pretty neat.

Honestly I think his ult could use a bit of a buff on it's cooldown OR range. NOT both.

I would prefer range honestly.

He needs percentage damage like all the other broken champs now a days. Jungle mobs so fat. Kind of needed at this point.

I feel that Nocturne needs some mechanical changes that solidify his theme as a champion. His current skillset reflects his nightmarish theme well but doesn't mesh well in practice.

Umbra Blades (Passive) doesn't make sense thematically OR mechanically when compared to the rest of his kit. While I do believe he should retain some sort of sustain passive, this could use a rehaul to fit better.

Duskbringer (Q) is absolutely perfect. It instills a sense of dread because you KNOW what's going to happen when you've been hit and the trail is behind you. Only change I could ask for is to make the trail the projectile leaves branch off onto enemies that walk over it (no damage, though).

Shroud of Darkness (W) feels half-baked mechanically simply to push some sort of staying power for Nocturne but it doesn't truly interact with the target he's attempting to haunt which feels weird. Something that allows sticking power that still translates into a feeling of nightmarish helplessness is needed. Maybe an activated ability that turns him invisible for a very short duration. Duration increases if his Ult is active or he's currently standing on Duskbringer's trail. The first attack out of the invisibility causes a 1 second silence maybe?

Unspeakable Horror (E) is great. Current suggestions for lowering vision radius as the nightmare closes in would be fantastic though not altogether necessary.

Paranoia (R) is perfect. Nothing I'd change save for maybe increased movement speed on Nocturne while it's active.

Oooo, what if their vision was actually reduced to a cone? Like they can't see behind themselves anymore? A forward cone.
