New Resolve Keystone which could help tanks

Vanguard (not sure of a good name)

Entering combat generates one stack every second for the next 3 seconds. After reaching 4 stacks, your next basic attack against an enemy champion consumes all stacks to grant 6 - 35 (based on level) bonus Armor and Magic resist for 3 seconds and reduces 20% of true damage taken from champions to for the duration. All stacks will wear off after 3 seconds out of combat.

Melee champions refresh the bonus reduction duration when going in combat by affecting enemy champions.

seems like a different version of aftershock

I actually copy and pasted conqueror and replaced the damage with damage reduction lol xD to reduced true damage to tanks, but instead of damage like aftershock you get more damage reducation

no one takes aftershock for damage. thats just a meh part of it. they take it for the armor/mr they get when engaging.

as far as conqueror vs tanks and it being stupid strong early. what needs to be changed is the scaling of HP from resolve if you take it as primary at lvl 1 it only gives 15 hp and then scales up as you lvl. it needs to have more hp earlier and scale less later.

then conditioning. you get no armor/mr til 10 mins then +5 % bonus so its ineffective in lane. i would make conditioning give you +5 armor/mr then after 10 mins +10% bonus armor/mr so it rewards tanks for building tanky.

but i think these changes need to have a conditional passive. if you take resolve primary only. if you take it secondary you dont get these you stay with the original way it is.

also as someone who is a tank player ( otp maokai ) i dont care about the 10 ap i get from resolve its point less. i would give it up for those changes.

i just want tanks to be able to sustain /survive in lane to the point where they can get their two item spike to transition to mid game with out being underfarmed and under lvl like they are now facing the conqueror /brusier meta.

The idea is that the true damage doesn't have counterplay.

Now that the armor is devalued by the amount of true damage, we need something that adds damage x armor.

Maybe if it healed rather than was a Conditioning-buff?
