create boots with the passive to walk through minions
I would buy it on every champ... :^) serious...

Wow you are a fucking genius. Hire him Riot.
haha thanks man bump for love
It was actually an effect given to
on the pbe
When was this? if it was recent, was it reverted, or something we can look forward to? also, do you have a source for that?
WHEN!?
WHEN!?
Right after they removed dodge chance.
So a time beyond human memory Then
The Land Before Time
waits for someone to start posting songs
if they gave it that passive, they would have to name it something like ninja tabi

Give it to boots of swiftness, they're already weak and only bought on tanks who need the unit walkiing anyway.
Boots of Swiftness definitely don't need a buff. They're way more useful than Boots of Mobility right now--the slow-resistance built in to them is super handy.
Or maybe just add ignoring unit collision to these ->
? I don't think it would make 'em overpowered, but maybe it would make these more attractive to buy?
That actually sounds pretty reasonable. Those boots a very rarely built anymore.
These are my personal favorite boot choice, but yeah, they are kind of unpopular in general. I would be okay with losing the slow reduction in exchange for ignoring unit collision.
And that also sounds like a good compensation.
No no no, the slow reduction is important. How else would our favorite catfish Tahm Kench be able to move around while eating you?
(Sarcasm)
Ah on a more serious note that slow reduction would be pretty good against Tahm's huge ass slow. =(
Tbh, I was thinking of adding the ignoring unit collision passive on top of slow resist one. If
could get Summoner spells CDR for exchange of only 5% of regular CDR, why not just add ignoring unit collision without removing slow resist?
I always thought this would be a good way to make the captain enchantment better.
They should make this a boot enchantment and then buff the existing boot enchantments to keep up. I would even consider putting this enchantment on the green (Alacrity) boot enchant.

UNIQUE - Alacrity: +25 Movement Speed. UNIQUE - Shadow Walk: Ignore unit collision.

UNIQUE - Captain: Grants +20% Movement Speed to approaching allied champions. (Maybe increase the aura to 1500 from 1100).

UNIQUE - Distortion: Teleport, Flash, and Ghost have 25% reduced cooldown and grant you a
30%,
40%,
20% speed boost for
2.5 seconds,
5 seconds,
the duration of the normal Ghost speed increase.

UNIQUE - Furor: Grants 20% bonus movement speed that decays over 2.5 seconds whenever you deal damage with a single target ability (excluding damage over time) or basic attack (on-hit).
then, just change Phantom Dancer to have the same unique passive:
UNIQUE – SPECTRAL WALTZ: Grants +12% movement speed and UNIQUE: Shadow Walk while within 500 units of a visible enemy champion.
With how much they are re-working champions and items I think changing boot enchantments to have a more noticeable effect yet help reinforce your champion's mobility pattern in game would be a step in the right direction.
I like that idea it's really well thought through.
I think it'd be better to keep alacrity where is it, put shadow walk as the distortion boot enchant, and replace the captain enchant's effects with the current distortion's effects. no price changes. everything else I agree with.
But...but...but....Janna with Cpt Enchant, Talisman of Ascension, and Righteous Glory OP engage xD
seriously speaking, how often do you see a time where building captain boots is actually worth it? in my opinion it's almost always more valuable to get an elixir of iron and achieve the same effect.
It was a joke. I never said I disagree that captain enchant is popular and worth buying. However, now that you got me worked up (or is it my stress with finals? Eh, either way). Elixir of iron doesn't have the same effect. With captain enchant, you can flank and engage from behind the enemy and your team would still have the speed to catch up and join the fight (hopefully before you die but I didn't really notice any different honestly). It also free up the potion for another. Now that everyone gets homeguard, on tanks and engager (let's say like malphite, leona, or wukong), you don't really need the other enchants.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that captain enchant gives so much move speed that it's worth buying. I'm saying that I'm looking for a reason to procrastinate this final paper which is due by midnight tonight.
I think malphite and Wukong I could make a decent case for furor being better, honestly. and I knew you weren't disagreeing with me, was just wondering if you could think of a case where captain boots are worth getting. also, upvoted just because can.
The whole purpose of captain enchant is if your team doesn't have a good gap-closer to join the fight after you engage. Although I haven't used it enough (except for on janna when I'm ahead for the LoL) to see its full effect. Furor, on the other hand, is a self-buff kinda thing. So you can keep up with the enemy (or kite away).
Now that Homeguard's free, we'll see a lot more of the other enchants. Who knows, maybe people will get captain more. Ask me that in half a year and i'll tell you xD. (PS 1 hour and 47 minutes until this thing's due....)
activate procrastination mode.
Oh, boy. It was shifted into maximum overdrive weeks ago xD
Why can't I exalt posts?!
I think they should just make that a passive on the Alacrity enchant. + 20 Move speed and move through units or something like that.
I fucking hate the creepblock since the preseason started.
But the entire point of boots is for there to be a decision. Not an obvious best choice every single time for every single melee champion.
Dear Riot,

Sincerely, Melee mains and everyone else who have been minion blocked to death.
or give it to
I had a thought on adding this to Galio's E along its path for your whole team, largely to help get galio into the spotlight again.
I like the boot options that we have now. If they make another set of boots, it becomes a choice to get a ghost ability to just get around bad minion mechanics vs getting actual helpful stats such as damage reduction, cdr, magic pen, tenacity, or attack speed. I think they should fix the minions instead of making some band-aid boots. Or make the passive an enchantment.
I agree. The uniqueness of being able to move through units is very noticeable right now, with the bad minion crowding, but once that is all fixed up it should be a matter of skill to get around minions. That said, while the minions are being fixed maybe they should give everyone the ability to walk through units. ^^
If i remember correctly, they are going to revert minion blocking to the preseason state.
Why would anyone need this?
Seriously, though, I can see it being useful & powerful. Maybe as a boot enchantment? It's more logical there than on something like phantom dancer.
Or an enchantment
Just put the passive on all level 2 boots? Or even level 1.
Doesn't
still give that ability?
Doesn't
still give that ability?
Not boots.
Or maybe just remove creep block. Not like it really does anything important for the game. Nobody enjoys when an enemy is stopped by creeps, and nobody enjoys being stopped by creeps. Only 4 champions have persistent unit collision preventing pieces in their kit, one is being removed, and Repertoir (I think, might have been someone else) even said he wouldn't mind others going as well. So what's the deal? Why does it exist? If it's annoying, nobody likes it, and doesn't provide any way to avoid it, then it should just be removed.
It exists to stop large-hitbox champions like Hecarim or Nautilus from physically standing over their minions to prevent the enemy from CSing.
and in season 7 it will be on every boots from 20 min mark.
an enchantment would kill it _
NO MORE MINION BLOCK! #SayNO2MinionBlock
Seems like a band-aid fix to a bigger problem with the game right now.
I'm not saying don't do it, but having to spend your gold to avoid getting stuck on minions seems really like avoiding the bigger overall issue.
