Is there any situation where Hextech Flashtraption is even considered?

I'm genuinely stumped as to who actually brings Flashtraption. Not even the one and only champion who has in-kit benefits from having a summoner spell on a 20 second cooldown brings it.

This might be because there is not a single champion in the game who walks slower than it takes to charge, and it only beats a maximum slow's movement speed by 125 units.

It has no reason to exist in its current state.

Zoe often takes it, Alistar, blitz.

I couldn't find any top builds-- that people are building or that people are suggesting-- on several sites that shows them bringing/tells you to bring it on any of them.

But is that normal or just isolated incidents where they knew the team comps would allow them to make do without the effective gold increase of footwear or stopwatch?

On blitz and alistar its normal. On zoe it aint that popular anymore cause they changed the ult interaction, but it still activates the w(?) auto empowerment when using summonerspells.

I've seen in on many support tanks on op.gg and lolalytics but I've never been able to make use of it down bot.

Teemo

I wonder because this is weak compared to FREE ONE TIME ZONHYA and FREE BOOTS that grant more MS than regular ones...

Glacial hexflash Garen support is pretty fun...

Alistar and Blitz

Champs that can taunt/cc from brush might take it, such as shen. Apparently teemo can use it to remain invisible if he flashes into a bush with it.

I've rarely ever seen it since it was introduced. They should probably look at reworking it next.

shen, annie

Zoe takes it, procs her passive on her w and allows her to get some nice damage off if used correctly

Also if you have an issue with hex flash would you also happen to have an issue with glacial augment? No champ has used that rune sense its launched, and sense unsealed spell book got reworked nobody has touched that ether, feel like there are a couple more pressing rune changes to be made over hexflash especially sense some champs do use it

Yes, actually. I think we need an item with pretty sub-par base stats but an active slow with a really short cooldown, so it can make Augment usable. And Unsealed just went straight down the drain when they removed the cooldown reduction. I don't really think it has a place in the game.

Teemo can use it to flash around brushes without breaking stealth. Kinda crazy.

Rengar can use it to extend his jump range because he can still jump after using it.

He and every other champion in the game can walk fast enough to where that doesn't matter while in the same bush. And like flash, it lacks the range to hop from one bush to another. So it could only be more useful than walking if you specifically need to hexflash over a Caitlin trap.

Rengar cannot use it to extend his jump range. That was "fixed" quite some time ago.

It's mostly just for highly aggressive support playstyles.

Hextech Flashtraption makes counterjungling easier, especially on Junglers that only have enemy-targeted dashes. Before, I would only counterjungle when I had flash up. Now even if I do blow flash at an earlier time, I can risk counterjungling because of Hexflash. I like to dash to an enemy camp, kill it, then Hexflash past the wall while spamming Mastery Emote.

Is it necessary? No.

Is it fun? Yes.

I like it on engage supports. Sometimes you can sneak in the botside bush and hexflash in to Q>W as Alistar.

Plus you can do a lot more flash plays because you won't be arbitrarily trapped if you can get a small window of alone time. The number of times I've hexflashed over a drag/baron pit is too many to list.
