What you guys think about the state of top lane?

Right now, I think it is pretty lame. Ignite is no longer a thing in top lane, which I used to like, and smite is starting to be a thing too , which is lame, because it makes 1v1 top not a thing. Fall behind? Go jungle a bit and them come back

You can take Ignite if you want. It gives you very strong lane and kill pressure if your opponent does this.

This was always a thing. even in s3 the red side top laner would go to krugs if behind.

pretty sure there was no krug in s3

I can take ignite, get camped, and lose lane because of lack of teleport.

i still tend to run ignite on lane bullies.

because it adds a ton of pressure and kill potential. especially if your opponent runs tp. you can use this to your advantage to kill your opponent and snowball and/or pressure him so hard, that he has to keep burning tp to recall and get back into lane and save his turret and not lose any farm.

in either case youre at the advantage, as you control the flow of the lane.
