Don't most orianna players take a defensive summoner like barrier? With smite instead she'll be more susceptible to early kills.

Also, jungle items require more jungle investment now - not just 750g anymore but over 1000. That's a lot more to give up (and be further behind while down a summoner) than it was when ezreal was a thing.

Runic Echo restores mana when it hits a jungle monster, so you can just throw spells over the wall, hit Raptor camp and restore a ton of mana.
