Who the hell liked to go against a champion that can permanently zone you from farming 90% of the lane with unmatched harrass?!? You people love to bitch about veigar's kits but someone with sustained BURST damage while being mobile, with a knockup shield and damaging self peel while able to burst towers and create one is TOTALLY ok. He literally had 2 - 3 counters in lane
Stonington3 votesI thought he was OP until I played him and played against him. He has a situationally strong kit, but he wasn't OP per se before the nerfs. And they nerfed him way-way too hard.

Once players learn that Azir doesn't get to be better than everyone else, you'll see the remaining players' winrate come back up.

Mandang01 votesHaha, he didn't already lose most games. If anything, he was banned most of the time, so that when people finally got to play him, they weren't practiced on him in ranked.
The problem with him is exactly what Riot said - lane bully strength/safety early with extreme damage/utility late.
