Getting insane FPS drops when in base on the new client and only the new client, even in low spec.

Although I have a potato computer, I see no reason to force your client onto players when it will eliminate some of the player base. Can you at least optimize your client before shoving it down our throats?

It has been optimized for people with potatoes. Why do you think Low-Spec mode exists?

Not really. My computer hates having the client open when the game is up(don't know why it doesn't disappear, but it forces me to have to exit at the beginning of, and re-login after every game).

Old client. Fine. Good fps at 30-70. No issues during the game.

New one? Fps drops from 30-70(readily playable, especially since it averages around 60) to 1-9(mainly due to the client staying open during game, instead of closing out and popping back up after the game). Trying to play on 9 fps is aggravating, as you cannot react to fast things. 1-3? I prefer to afk at the fountain while I try to correct it(less deaths that way).

Low spec mode doesn't even remove the animations for the majority of things. It may remove some of the animations for the champ select, but all those wavy lines? That are everywhere? Still there.

You have the option of closing the client, so it isn't open during the game. That's something Riot made for people with potatoes for computers.

There is literally an option that closes the client during games and reopens it when the match is over

It dosent optimize anything , 17-20 fps with low spec mode off , 17-20 fps low spec mode on. AND I DONT WANT TO REOPEN MY CLIENT EVERY TIME I FINISH A GAME!...
Oh And riot i have been a big fan of your stuff and things that you have done, But NEW CLIENT IS $HIT, Bring back the old client or atleast make new one who dosent take up to much resources of your PC

Oh wait, nevermind, it is Riot and they can't walk two feet without tripping over a false promise, and shoving out incomplete systems (cough cough practice mode). I'm not one bit surprised. They are just wanting to rush it out so they don't have to fix and release things for two clients.

Well too bad, fix your shit. I have a Non-potato and I still get lag spikes ONLY in the new client. I have flat out tested it, and it never happens on the old client, but the new one loves them fps drops and 1-2 second lag spikes (again, never happens on the old client, because I went back and forth just to make sure).

Try using the client repair tool and then playing on lowspec/regular to see which works better.

My advice is to go into task manager (control shift escape for easy access) and set LoL Patcher and LoL Launcher to high priority while closing LoLClient. You will have to repeat this after every game but it will improve performance.

nobody shoved anything anywhere, it's still in beta so you can still use the old one, since the new one still has crashes that can make u lose lp - unacceptable.

It is being FORCED on people in like...a week. So, no you can't just "use the old one". They are literally and 100% retiring the old client in like, a week.

Ur talking about the present, getting low fps right now. I'm sooo sorry I didn't read your mind, and that I didn't add the word 'yet', and was trying to help, because it baffles me how you've not reverted yet knowing you have this issue. You don't know if the fps lag will be there in the future. U still have a week to use the old client, and possibly more, as there are some rumours for a workaround for using the old client longer. And they have a week for fixing performance issues, as many are crying about it, not just you.

On a side note, I'm not your enemy. I think it's bs that they're shipping it so fast with so many issues at large, and with the biggest one, like I said in my opinion - losing LP cus of client crashing -, not being on their priority or 'well-known issues' list.
